If you’re looking for a filthy resort with substandard service and poor cleanliness, then Aureva Shaantam Resort, Rishikesh is the place to book.We were looking for a luxurious one-night getaway in the mountains, somewhere peaceful where we could relax and enjoy premium hospitality. Unfortunately, we ended up booking Aureva Shaantam Resort, and it turned out to be one of the most disappointing resort experiences we’ve had.We booked two Premium Rooms (around *** in total). The rooms themselves were spacious and comfortable, but the bathrooms were another story altogether. They were visibly tired, poorly maintained, and in desperate need of refurbishment. Basic touches expected from a premium resort, such as hand towels, were also missing.Dinner on our first evening was actually quite enjoyable. The food tasted good, and we left with the hope that perhaps our first impressions had been too harsh.Unfortunately, breakfast the following morning completely changed that view.When we entered the restaurant, it was immediately obvious that it hadn’t even been cleaned properly after dinner the previous night. Food scraps were still scattered across the floor, which was unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one marketing itself as a luxury resort.After placing our breakfast order, we found ourselves sitting in a hot, stuffy restaurant. Only then did we realise that neither the fans nor the air conditioning had been switched on. We had to request this ourselves, and even then only the fans were eventually turned on.The breakfast itself was decent enough, but the service was anything but. We repeatedly had to remind the staff about basic items that had been forgotten. Butter never arrived with the parathas until we asked. Toast was ordered but wasn’t served until we had reminded the staff three separate times. Every small request seemed to require repeated follow-ups.The biggest disappointment, however, was the restaurant manager. A manager sets the tone for the entire dining experience, yet there was no welcoming attitude, no proactive supervision, and little sense of ownership when service was clearly falling short. The restaurant would benefit greatly from a manager with stronger hospitality skills, better organisation and a genuine focus on guest experience. In our opinion, this role either requires significant training or someone better suited to leading the team.That said, the junior staff deserve recognition. They were consistently polite, respectful and genuinely tried to help despite appearing understaffed and overwhelmed. A special mention goes to the twin sisters, who remained courteous and pleasant throughout our stay. They clearly have the right attitude and would flourish under stronger leadership and better training.The resort isn’t without positives. The swimming pool is nice, and the surrounding scenery is beautiful, offering the peaceful mountain setting we had hoped for. It’s a shame those positives are overshadowed by poor maintenance and inconsistent service.For a property positioning itself as a premium luxury resort, the standards simply weren’t there during our stay. Cleanliness, attention to detail, and professional service are the absolute basics of hospitality, and unfortunately Aureva Shaantam Resort fell well short on all three.After spending *** for two rooms, we expected a memorable luxury experience. Instead, we left disappointed and feeling that the resort failed to deliver on the promises it advertises.Sadly, we won’t be returning, and based on our experience, we wouldn’t recommend this resort to others either.

Aureva Shaantam Resorts & Spa offers a wonderful setting for relaxation and comfort. The serene environment, stunning location, cozy rooms, tasty meals, and friendly service create a memorable stay. The staff is courteous, professional, and always willing to assist. This resort provides an ideal ambiance for families, couples, or anyone seeking a calm retreat from hectic city life. I had an amazing time and strongly suggest Aureva Shaantam Resorts & Spa to all. It's truly a beautiful spot with outstanding service and unforgettable hospitality. I look forward to returning!

If you want a dirty resort with poor service and low cleanliness, Aureva Shaantam Resort, Rishikesh is the place to book. We sought a luxurious one-night mountain retreat, somewhere calm to relax and enjoy top hospitality. Sadly, we ended up at Aureva Shaantam Resort, which turned out to be one of our most disappointing resort stays. We reserved two Premium Rooms (about ₹21,000 total). The rooms were spacious and comfy, but the bathrooms were rundown, badly maintained, and badly needed renovation. Basic amenities like hand towels, expected at a premium resort, were missing. Dinner the first night was quite good, and we hoped our initial impressions were too harsh. But breakfast the next morning changed that. The restaurant was clearly not cleaned after dinner; food scraps were on the floor, unacceptable for any hotel, especially a luxury one. After ordering breakfast, we sat in a hot, stuffy room with no fans or AC on until we asked, and only fans were turned on. The breakfast was okay, but service was poor. We had to remind staff repeatedly about forgotten items like butter and toast, which arrived only after multiple prompts. The biggest letdown was the restaurant manager, who showed no welcoming attitude, lacked proactive oversight, and seemed to take little responsibility despite poor service. The restaurant needs a manager with better hospitality skills, organization, and guest focus. The junior staff, however, were polite, respectful, and tried to help despite being understaffed and overwhelmed. The twin sisters especially were courteous and pleasant and would do well with stronger leadership and training. The resort has positives: a nice pool and beautiful mountain scenery offering the peaceful setting we wanted. Unfortunately, these are overshadowed by poor upkeep and inconsistent service. For a property claiming to be a premium luxury resort, the standards were not met during our stay. Cleanliness, attention to detail, and professional service are basic hospitality requirements, and Aureva Shaantam Resort fell short on all. After paying ₹21,000 for two rooms, we expected a memorable luxury experience but left disappointed, feeling the resort did not deliver on its promises. We will not return and would not recommend this resort to others.

Terrible experience at the resort. They confirmed our reservation even though the hotel was undergoing pesticide treatment. We only found out about the treatment around 8 PM when we noticed the smell. We had a small baby with us who was having trouble breathing. Because of this, we had to leave the resort late at night. I strongly advise against booking this resort.

The hospitality and services were outstanding. The rooms are cozy, making it a great choice for a relaxing stay.
