I reserved a room through the internet, but the hotel assigned us a different room that was not an improvement. Our room lacked hot water. Although we booked for two nights, we left after just one. The meal for two people for one night cost ₹600, which was also not satisfactory.

I recently stayed at Bethel Varkey Homestay and had a very disappointing experience. The room was not cleaned well before check-in; it was dusty, had a bad odor, and the bedsheet was stained. Worse still, there were mice in the room, which is unacceptable for hygiene and comfort. Despite the cold weather, there was no hot water in the bathroom, and the electric kettle in the room was broken, so I couldn't make tea or hot water in the morning. In the evening, the staff on duty appeared drunk, which felt unprofessional and unsafe for guests. Overall, the homestay does not meet basic standards of cleanliness, safety, or hospitality.

The staff and manager provided excellent service, and the breakfast was also very good. This place is very suitable for visiting the Kulukkumalai view destination.
