A really pleasant place with very polite staff—special thanks to Maakhan who was kind and supportive. However, the property had some drawbacks: for kids, they only offered khichdi, which was disappointing for me as a toddler mom; it would be nice to have fries, parantha, dal chawal, or similar options. Breakfast choices were limited, and many items listed, like pizza and dosa, were unavailable, though their cucumber sandwich was excellent.

The stay offered comfortable sleep with reliable hot water and decent breakfast options, complemented by basic amenities and transport facilities. However, cleanliness was below expectations, and staff service was average. The location is convenient but not outstanding, making the overall experience somewhat mixed in terms of value for money.

We stayed at Bookmark Resorts, Manali from 15th June to 19th June. The resort is situated in a serene wooded area at a higher altitude, providing a tranquil and picturesque setting away from city noise. When booking, I asked for an extra bed in our Jacuzzi room, and the reservations team arranged it smoothly, which I appreciated. Pros: The resort exudes luxury and offers a variety of amenities including a heated swimming pool, an apple orchard, a spa, an indoor games room, ample private parking, and dormitory lodging for drivers. The property is well kept, and the staff were polite, courteous, and always ready to assist. The calm environment and overall vibe make it a great place to relax. Areas for Improvement: Meal timings were a major issue. Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM, high tea from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and dinner from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Since many tourists leave early for sightseeing and return late, these hours are inconvenient. Extending breakfast to 11:00 AM, high tea to 6:30 PM, and dinner to 11:30 PM would offer guests more flexibility during day trips. The food was another letdown. Although breakfast and dinner menus changed daily and had variety, the taste and quality were below our expectations. Compared to other 4-star resorts we've visited, the dining was average. Improving food quality and flavor could greatly enhance guest satisfaction. Some small expected touches were missing, such as a welcome drink on arrival and an in-room minibar or refrigerator stocked with complimentary drinks. These minor details affect the overall guest experience. Lastly, while dormitory accommodation is provided for drivers, there is no special meal arrangement for them. When I asked, I was told my driver could order from the regular restaurant menu, which is pricey. From my experience at various hotels, many offer affordable or dedicated meal options for drivers. Adding this would be a considerate and helpful feature for guests with personal drivers. In summary, Bookmark Resorts, Manali boasts a lovely location, great hospitality, and strong amenities. However, enhancing dining quality, adjusting meal timings, and adding a few guest conveniences would elevate the experience to better meet premium resort standards.

This so-called "luxury" resort is a complete disappointment. Don't waste your money here. Despite the name, it has none of the qualities of a resort. The property is very small, rooms are tight, and the courtyard is mostly filled with parked cars, lacking any real resort atmosphere. We booked 10 rooms for a family trip at ₹12,500 per night expecting spacious accommodations and top-notch service, but it was a disaster. I had to cut our stay short by a day due to the poor experience. The food under their American Meal Plan was awful; dinners were chaotic with frequent shortages of basic items like hot bread and buffet dishes, and the staff was clueless about managing the crowd. Every guest was frustrated and confronting the staff during meals, creating a public disturbance. The worst part was the infrastructure and management. The resort is located in a remote lane in Old Manali with almost no mobile network coverage. They claim to have "seamless Wi-Fi," but it kept disconnecting frequently. I spent five hours trying to fix this with unhelpful frontline staff and a technician, but there was no senior management present—only untrained interns who just said they would escalate the issue. The staff even laughed among themselves when I sought updates, showing zero professionalism. Because of the Wi-Fi problem and the difficulty of reaching a local cafe through heavy traffic, I had to end my vacation early and drive 6-7 hours home to get internet access for work. At checkout, they offered an "alternate room," but their own technician confirmed the problem was with the entire floor's router, not just one room. If you want a premium family holiday or need reliable internet for work, stay far away from Bookmark Resort Manali. It's a poorly managed, tiny, overpriced mess.
