Casino Hotel - CGH Earth

It was a wonderful experience overall. The room was spacious and worth for the money. Highly luxurious and the staffs were lovely. Food was delicious and had a huge variety. I would love to come here yeat another time.

I am well traveled and stayed varieties of hotels.But when you book a 5 star the expectations are also high.Pros:*They gave us 2 hours early checkin.*Really humble staff.*Property location and the classic style is really cool. *Which attracted to book this hotel.Now comes the Cons.What makes a 5 star a 5 star, which is attention to detail and guest's comfort.*I thought to watch Netflix and chill for the Hot noon, but their TV can't run any app, you can only watch cable TV.We couldn't even play music because YouTube also doesn't work, even a 1 star hotel has such basic, and when asked they told to use my mobile data to watch.* Their swimming pool timing is till 7 PM, so after a full day tour of the city you can comeback and find you can't have a night swim, apparently they had an accident in the pool so they justified this. by that logic, cars won't run on road because a lot of accidents happen everyday.* I understand rooms don't have balcony so you can't smoke inside but you can't even smoke inside the open restaurant or even in the bar. If you having a drink in the bar, you have to come all the way down to near the parking to have a smoke.* I never visited any hotel, where I can't have any drinks near the pool, it literally felt like going to swim class in college.* There are many issues, eventually it shouldn't be called as a 5 star hotel, many expectations got crushed in this trip due to this hotel.

Had a pleasant stay here. The location is on Willingdon Island which is away from the busy side of kochi, which was really nice. The property is good and very neat.But the front desk staff felt a bit cold during check in , no welcome drink , no proper interaction . which was a little disappointing. Not sure if it was because we checked in late, but the staff attitude couldve been better. We stayed in room 224, which is at the end of the floor, and there was a staff room or something nearby. It got quite noisy at night.The pool was good, but we didnt end up using it since we had to walk all the way through the reception and main walkway in pool attire which felt a bit awkward.Breakfast buffet was good.

What I loved the most about this hotel is the fantastic staff. They were warm, hospitable and always had the most genuine smiles. They made us feel at home at once. The location was about 20 mins from Fort Kochi so plan your trip accordingly. The food spread was top notch with the best fish and meat. We over ate at almost every meal!

It is always a joy to come back to this place. The Sunday brunch is highly recommended, the spread was good and was a really delicious one. Ideal for family who can relax and enjoy the food with live music
