Cintacor Island - A Boutique Resort

Our weekend at Cintacor was nothing short of magical. This charming island resort off the Karwar coast is a hidden gem, but what truly makes it shine is the incredible team. From the moment we arrived, Soundarya and Sarafin at the Front Office made us feel like family rather than just guests. At the restaurant, Muskaan and Papori were so attentive, ensuring every meal felt personal and special.A huge standout for us was Yohan’his passion is infectious! He is a wealth of knowledge regarding the island’s history and its fascinating biodiversity; his guided tours were a highlight of our trip. Whether we were relaxing by the infinity pool, enjoying the secluded beach cove, or laughing through karaoke, every moment felt curated for us. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with a soul, this is it!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Cintacor Island Resort, and it was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish.From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent - warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive without ever feeling intrusive. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well looked after, and their genuine hospitality made us feel right at home in paradise.The food was another highlight of our stay. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety and freshness of the dishes, and each dining experience felt special in its own way.The water sports were so much fun and added an extra layer of adventure to our trip. Whether out on the water or simply soaking up the beautiful surroundings, there was never a dull moment.We also treated ourselves to the spa, where the service was exceptional - the setting, combined with the amazing ocean views and the soothing sounds of the waves, made it an incredibly relaxing and memorable experience.What truly made the experience exceptional, though, were the small details. One of our favorite moments was the morning walk around the island, where the guide shared fascinating facts about the local ecology. It was a lovely way to start the day and gave us a deeper appreciation for the island’s natural beauty.Overall, our time at Cintacor was amazing. The combination of outstanding service, wonderful food, exciting activities, relaxing spa treatments, and thoughtful touches made it a truly special getaway. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing views, especially from the pool. Great food which is important as there obviously are no other options. Indian breakfast options were good but the only coffee was Nescafe :( . Some french press or south Indian filter would have been very welcome. Rooms were spacious and clean. A few fittings needed a touch of up but nothing major.Service was excellent. The staff are all really friendly . Especially Johan the naturalist and Santosh the buggy guy. Good for one or two nights to have a private island experience.

We stayed 2 days at this unique offshore location about 20 mnts boat ride from jetty in karwar. Unfortunately our start was patchy as the pickup boat arrived 15 mnts late after given time,and we were further delayed as there was another water supply boat anchored at the resort jetty and the boat man expected us senior citizens to climb over a thin wooden plank to walk accross the other boat to the firm land. We refused to take the risk so we got further delayed by 20mnts until the boat moved away and we could get into a buggy that took us at the reception. The property is good for a couple of days rest with rooms having Seaview from balconies. Our room 'Oyster' had separate WC and bathroom which we found unusual and not acceptable to our liking. Howerver, they have a nice infinity pool overlooking the Arabian Sea and well maintained. They also have a private beach approachable by buggy wherein you can swim or indulge in some water sports.There is a restaurant which serves both breakfast lunch& Dinner. High tea is served in the evening, though no fresh hot snacks are served which one expects in high end resorts -just cookies are served. They have a nice bar with karaoke & sea view.The service staff all across the property is well trained. I would like to make a special mention of the following members of the staff at various service points--- head chef Mr.Ganesh kamble served us an excellent fish curry customised to our taste and he is experienced& well informed. As we had not opted for resort buffet option,we found A la carte menu was reasonably good. Both the young female service girls,Papori& Muskaan served with a smile and were always helpful. Chetan Maldar& sarafin at the reception were very cooperative and helpful in answering all queries pleasantly. The buggy person Santosh kini was engaging and enthusiastic at all times. We would certainly like to make another visit to this resort in future,as well as their Ooty property in future.

Amazing island experience!Beautiful rooms with stunning sea views, delicious food, smooth boat transfer, and very polite staff. The infinity pool and private beach were the best part. Everything was clean and well-maintained.Highly recommended for a peaceful and luxurious getaway
