Club Mahindra Mount Serene Resort

The road condition is really bad.

Compared to Club Mahindra Munnar, Mount Serana does not meet expectations.

I had a very enjoyable stay at Club Mahindra Mount Serene. I initially booked the lakeview property through MMT, but upon arrival, I was told my booking wasn't confirmed. MMT was very supportive during this issue. At first, I was offered a basic room without a sofa bed or balcony, which I declined. Then I was offered a room at the Mount Serene property, which I accepted hesitantly, but it turned out to be a fantastic place. Positives: 1. The resort is located atop a hill. 2. The rooms offer stunning views of the valley. 3. The staff were great—manager Bhimayya helped arrange an alternate room when there was a booking problem; restaurant service by Ayush, Adithya, Aji Singh, and others was excellent; front desk incharge Hinmanshu and Piya were very accommodating. 4. The food was good, though a bit repetitive over three days; sambar was mediocre and the restaurant coffee could be better. 5. The small lawn with a basketball area was a welcome relief, providing space to relax and fresh air, unlike the cramped and suffocating Lakeview property. 6. Housekeeping staff Islam deserves praise for keeping our valuables safe after cleaning. 7. I was given a studio room that was spacious enough for me, my wife, and two kids, with a convertible sofa bed. Negatives: 1. The 2 km road to the property is narrow, steep, and badly damaged, requiring careful driving. 2. Without a food package, going out for meals is inconvenient due to travel time. 3. There are no nearby hotels as the property is far from town, so you must rely on in-house dining. Overall, this property is underrated and definitely better than the Lakeview property.

We enjoyed a peaceful stay at Club Mahindra Munnar – Mount Serene, booking a suite for two nights through our Club Mahindra membership well ahead of time. The location was the standout feature, surrounded by hills, tea plantations, and lush greenery, with stunning lake views from the property. The elevated setting gave the resort a tranquil and scenic atmosphere, perfect for relaxing on the balcony and taking in the sights. Our suite was spacious and cozy, with the added convenience of a kitchen and balcony. The resort is quite spread out, but the free buggy service made getting around easy. Since we didn't book breakfast, I can't comment on that. After a long drive from Bengaluru, the resort was an ideal spot to unwind, with the natural surroundings being the main attraction, especially for those who appreciate mountains and peaceful scenery. Overall, our two-night stay was comfortable and restful. If you're visiting Munnar and want a resort where the environment and views are key, Club Mahindra Munnar – Mount Serene is definitely worth considering. Food was fabulous. Stay was exceptional. Staff was very good, special mention to Aji Singh. Only negative i can say is the approach road to the hotel.
