FAYUL RETREAT - India Highest Glamp and EcoLuxury Stay

As travelers, we seek places that offer more than just comfort, and Fayaul Retreat in Kalpa delivered exactly that: tranquility, stunning views, and a wonderful nature-close experience. The journey to the retreat involves a good road, but the last part is a bit tough due to steep climbs and sharp turns, which left us quite tired upon arrival. We appreciated Prince, the Manager, for his courteous help and for sharing a navigation video ahead of time since network coverage is spotty in some areas. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with hot tea, which was very refreshing after the long trip. Sadhu Singh served us tea and dinner with genuine warmth, making us feel welcomed. For dinner, we ordered room service; the rajma was tasty, the wheat rotis fresh, and the aloo gobi a bit sweeter than we prefer but still enjoyable. We stayed in a dome that was cozy and warm despite the temperature dropping to around 11°C at night, thanks to heating on the bed. The dome featured a separate bunk bed that our child loved, a clean washroom with basic toiletries, and a small private balcony with space for luggage and a dressing mirror. The daytime views were breathtaking, with snow-capped mountains resembling a silver lining and sights of Kinnaur Kailash. Nearby apple orchards with green and red apples added to the charm. Overall, our one-day stay at Fayaul Retreat was peaceful and away from the usual noise, with spectacular mountain views and a calming atmosphere. For those visiting Kalpa/Kinnaur seeking a quiet glamping spot to relax and enjoy the mountain air and scenery, this place is highly recommended. In summary, it was a peaceful, cozy, and memorable mountain stay with warm hospitality, good food, and unforgettable views.

Fayul Retreat stands out as a unique find in Kalpa. Unlike most accommodations that show mountain views from the base, here the peaks are at eye level, right before you, creating an almost dreamlike experience that truly makes the stay worthwhile. The bathrooms are impeccably clean and well-kept, enhancing the retreat's appeal. Nestled in stunning natural surroundings, the quiet and calm stay with you long after departure. Hosts Prince Thakur and Mr. Kamal Dev go the extra mile to make sure every guest feels welcomed and relaxed. I am eager to visit again soon.

A lovely place in Kalpa, though getting there involves a steep and narrow 2 km climb. Within the property, a narrow path through an apple orchard leads to your room, which offers great views. The room itself is cozy, tidy, and attractively designed, though not very large. The food tastes delicious, and you should definitely try the fresh Kinnaur apple juice. The stay is definitely worthwhile! The staff is very accommodating, especially Prince, who manages everything and ensures you have all the information you need.
