This hotel was lovely. Clean. Ironically it seemed older in style and maintenance (like a boutique hotel thats been re-purposed from a palace to a hotel but that was not the case). Overall it was a nice stay. The hotel uses a local hospitality school to train the students that are leveraged on staff. While this concept is a great idea I think the students could use a bit of guidance on true hospitality or maybe its the Taj that could use some training overall and learn from such service oriented brands as the Ritz Carlton that is known first for its amazing service and hospitality so much so that much of the staff wear hidden earpieces/ headsets to support communication when they learn or hear of guests needs. For example I had a dietary restriction i communicated once to a staff member at the bar in casual conversation by the time I went for my dinner reservation the waitstaff were informed and provided an additional set of menu options to accomodate my needs unbeknownst to me at the time it was communicated to the staff so they can provide me w better service.

Dear Management Team,I am writing this email to formally express my deep dissatisfaction and disappointment regarding the food quality and service at my engagement ceremony held on 25 January 2026 (Sunday) at Gateway of Taj, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad).My fianc?? and I chose Taj, a reputed 5-star hotel, with very high expectations. We invested a significant amount of money trusting the Taj brand name, believing that our special occasion would be handled with the highest standards of quality and professionalism. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what was promised or expected.From the very beginning, issues were evident. Even during the menu tasting, the food was not provided properly and lacked professionalism. However, we assumed that the actual event would be managed better. Sadly, the same problems were repeated during the main function.While the welcome drinks and starters were acceptable, the main course was extremely disappointing:’The event was pure vegetarian, yet the vegetable dishes served were not as finalized.’The Mix Veg dish was not prepared properly.’The Kala Rassa special, which we had clearly instructed to be prepared spicy, was not made as discussed.’We had finalized three types of bread (Roti, Kulcha, and Naan), but Kulcha was never served at all.’Even Roti and Naan were frequently unavailable at the counter.’Guests had to repeatedly go to the counter and ask for breads, yet they were still not served on time.’Salad arrangements were poor and incomplete.Towards the end of the buffet service, the situation became worse:’Food items were not refilled properly.’Items were brought in very small bowls, which was highly unprofessional for an event of this scale.’Several guests could not eat properly due to poor taste, limited availability, and mismanagement.Almost all guests expressed their disappointment and clearly stated that this level of food quality was not expected from a hotel like Taj. Both families were extremely upset, and what was supposed to be a joyful and memorable day turned into a stressful and embarrassing experience for us.We were emotionally and financially invested in this event. The poor food quality and service completely ruined our experience and sentiments. We had also planned to host my younger sister’s wedding at the same venue, but due to this unexpected and unacceptable experience, we have cancelled that plan entirely.Such negligence and mismanagement from a prestigious brand like Taj is shocking and unacceptable. Charming Heritage Stay

A fantastic gateway at Gateway Aurangabad hotel. We spent two nights at this hotel and I must say it's a space where heritage really meets comfort ’ the mugal architecture carries an old-world charm that instantly stands out. The thoughtfully designed courtyard spaces makes the hotel feel rooted in history.The property is truly beautiful, and the kind staff made our trip especially memorable. Sainath, the chef, recommended wonderful local dishes ’ Nan Khaliya, Khandeshi mutton, Jowar Bhakri ’ and the special misal pav for breakfast was outstanding. All the staff were helpful and cordial, especially Alfiya, Arpan, Ayush, and the housekeeping team.

Taj AurangabadJust wow ’ a truly memorable stay! Every time we stay at Taj Aurangabad, it feels absolutely royal. We have stayed here twice while traveling from Nagpur to Goa, and both experiences were exceptional.The property is beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery, with superb architecture that gives a regal and peaceful vibe. The swimming pool is very nice, the food is delicious, and the staff is extremely courteous and welcoming.Everything about this place reflects elegance, comfort, and true Taj hospitality.
