We stayed in July to mark our anniversary, and the entire experience was excellent. The hotel is located right on the beach (not private, but it feels like it). This is truly what a 5-star stay should be like. Overall rating: 4.5/5. Rooms: 5/5 - The room was spotless, the views stunning, and we were completely happy. For more privacy, choose the bay view rooms on the upper floors. Food: 4.5/5 - The variety was impressive, with good vegetarian options. Service could be better during busy times, but overall very good. Spa: 4.5/5 - They offer free access to a common steam room and jacuzzi, and the paid massages were professional and enjoyable. Service: 4.5/5 - Almost all staff made efforts to enhance our stay. Despite many guests, they tried to accommodate everyone. Front desk/booking: 3/5 - I called three times just to have them note my anniversary. After two nights, when I asked to extend, they said it was available and I should book myself. When I tried, it was not available, and later I was told it wasn’t. Overall, definitely a place to visit for a luxury experience. Special thanks to: 1. Shailesh (Food & Beverage) - who ensured our dining was excellent and made our evening celebration memorable. 3. Datta guru (chef) - who visited every table to check on guests, adding a personal touch to dining. They all went beyond to make our stay wonderful and provide outstanding service. If you plan a celebration, contact Kesar. Though I had some trouble reaching her initially, once connected, everything went smoothly.

The staff were especially commendable for their humility, professionalism, and readiness to assist at every turn. Their polite demeanor and quick service enhanced our stay, and they made sure we had everything we required. The resort is beautifully kept, featuring excellent facilities, a soothing atmosphere, and outstanding cleanliness throughout. Every detail was carefully attended to, creating an ideal setting to relax and enjoy a tranquil holiday. A standout part of our visit was the complimentary lounge access, a thoughtful touch that made us feel very special and added significant value to our experience. The lounge provided a cozy environment, tasty refreshments, and flawless hospitality. In summary, Goa Marriott Resort & Spa surpassed all our expectations. After staying at Marriott hotels and other locations worldwide, I've realized that unforgettable experiences come from the people, not the buildings. Our time at Goa Marriott was made exceptional thanks to Ms. Delana Pai (Guest Relations) and Chef Dutta Rao. Their warmth, sincere care, and readiness to go the extra mile made us feel appreciated throughout our visit. Each encounter was heartfelt, personal, and effortless—something increasingly rare today. They truly embody hospitality, knowing that lasting memories come from making guests feel genuinely welcome and at ease. Their kindness and commitment are invaluable. While the hotel is lovely, it is the people like Delana and Chef Dutta Rao who make Goa Marriott a place to revisit. We appreciate a wonderful stay.

Our stay at Goa Marriott was truly wonderful! The sea views are breathtaking, and the patio is an ideal spot to enjoy a chai or a drink while listening to the waves and wind, especially with the lighthouse visible in the evening. The food was fantastic, but what stood out most was the amazing staff! Tamara greeted us warmly and was always available whenever we needed anything, ensuring everything was perfect. Rachel was just as attentive. Delana, the Resort Experience Manager, is exceptional, making every guest feel like they are at home. Small gestures like offering to pack sandwiches for our journey on checkout day and checking on us daily at breakfast made us feel very cared for. Shriram at Concierge was also consistently prompt and helpful. Every meal was enhanced by the wonderful restaurant team—Afsar, Siwani, Salman, Ajinkya, Chef Vidhi (who also gave great local music bar tips!), Chef Dattaguru, Wariku, Priti, and Kesar. We appreciate all your warmth, smiles, and dedication. Lastly, thanks to Virendra from Housekeeping for keeping our room immaculate and leaving charming flower petal designs that brightened our return each day. Finding a beautiful hotel in a great location is easy, but finding one where the staff genuinely care is rare. That’s exactly what we experienced here, and it’s why we will return. If a prime beachfront spot is what you want, Goa Marriott Resort & Spa definitely fits the bill. Sadly, that's about the only positive aspect. The hotel seems to be waiting for a much-needed update, with damp walls, peeling paint, and worn-out rooms that don't match the expectations of a luxury five-star hotel. The lobby offers an unusual "wildlife experience," as small insects often appear, especially near the large table at the far end. Check-in can be slow, with only three counters and a waiting area placed inconveniently far, leading most guests to stand in line. Service was notably memorable, but not in a good way—the staff seemed very skilled at explaining why things went wrong or why your experience might not be accurate. Charges were sometimes removed after being questioned, which is unexpected in a luxury setting and made checkout quite an experience. At the waterfront restaurant, we were abruptly told, "Aap yahan nahi baith sakte," without any greeting, apology, or alternative seating offered. When raised with the manager, the response was laughter instead of understanding or apology, reflecting the overall service attitude. Hospitality isn't about perfection but about taking responsibility and showing empathy when issues arise, qualities that were missing during our stay. The beach is the hotel's greatest asset, but everything else needs the same care and investment. I hope management will renovate the property and improve guest service, accountability, and culture. Until then, the ocean remains the hotel's true five-star feature.
