Hotel Aristocrat, Darjeeling

Had the worst experience at this hotel. The staff, manager, and owner were all very rude and uncooperative. They charge penalties even if something was already broken, making guests pay for damages. When we entered the room and just picked up a water bottle from the table, a slight vibration caused the TV hanging above to fall. We explained multiple times to the manager and owner that the TV was not properly fixed and fell due to that, but the owner insisted on charging Rs.11000 as a penalty for a new TV. The TV was very old, yet he charged the cost of a new one. He refused to let us check out without paying. After paying, we saw the same broken TV hung back on the wall, probably to charge another guest later. This proves the TV was already broken before we arrived, but they still cheated us with the penalty. Besides this, the food was terrible, maintenance was poor, and there were many insects in the room. They said it's Darjeeling and insects are common in hotel rooms here.

Overall, the hotel experience was very positive. The room, staff, and housekeeping were all excellent, especially Romika, Ranzu, and Poonam who were very good 👍😊

June me gaya tha, room aur bedsheet dono gande the, mat bhi ganda tha. Breakfast bilkul bekaar tha aur staff ka koi jawab nahi tha. Maine yeh hotel chhod kar Sumital Residence mein shift kiya, jo ki same rate par kaafi achha tha.

They made no effort to help me find my phone. I'm convinced that someone from the hotel staff stole it. I've already filed a police complaint.’?If you're planning to stay at this hotel, keep your belongings safe. Otherwise, you might lose your valuables because the staff are dishonest. The manager and the staff also don't know how to treat or speak to guests respectfully.
