The hotel has two separate buildings- the main builing, which is the real one and an annex building which has been newly constructed (completely detached from the main building). The listing does not clearly mention whether it is for the main hotel or the annex part. The annex building does not have any facilities (reception, restaurant, etc). If you get a room in the annex, you have to toggle daily between the annex and main builidng for your breakfast or to access any facilities. The deluxe rooms in the annex DO NOT even have a proper window.

Waste of time and money

This is our first ever visit to Darjeeling but our experience was not so good as many things were not handled professionally. Staff on duty be it front office or at restaurant were not at all supportive and some times we feel that we have been taken for granted. To be honest we did not like the hotel and it's hospitality. We are senior citizens and we should have been treated in a better way. No one from the hotel staff tried to make us comfortable. We have travelled all over and probably this is the only hotel we are compelled to pen down such experience. I ws cautioned by my fellow friends not to stay but I just wanted to experience this hotel and they were right. If you have a dedicated and professional team such small small things can be very well covered by providing good food(which was below standard) and staff could make it a better experience for guests. Very much disappointed.

We were assigned a room in the annex building, across the road from the hotel. It seemed unsafe as there was no security in the building, workers were painting and doing renovation work while guests were also staying in the hotel. There was no indication that we will get a room in the annex building and we were expecting a room in the main hotel area. This gap negatively affected our experience as we were travelling to celebrate a special occasion.
