Indus Mount Royale Hotel & Spa

We stayed at Indus Mount Royale Hotel for one night in Rooms 301 and 401, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing.The most serious issue was that Room 401 had no water supply throughout the entire night. My sister had fallen ill and was unable to use the washroom properly because of this. Water and electricity are basic necessities that every guest should be provided with. The dining experience was equally frustrating. At dinner, we ordered boiled eggs, but the eggs were so poorly prepared that the shells could not be peeled properly. Although the staff offered a replacement, we were made to wait nearly 20 minutes for a single egg. At breakfast, we requested black tea and again faced unnecessary delays. To make matters worse, all food items served were cold.The staff were polite ,good behavior alone cannot compensate for the lack of basic amenities and poor service. Charging full rates while failing to provide essential facilities is unacceptable. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this hotel to others.

We have stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and booked one mountain view premium luxury and one luxury room.Pros: I would say the hotel location and service is top notch stuffs are very cooperative and helpful.Specially front desk associate Samik Palodhy and support stuff Sudhanshu are very helpful.Initially we faced some difficulties with luxury room as the room was not so good with celling leakage and damp. Later after requesting they switched to a better room.So overall 5 star for service.Cons: hotel need more maintenance and cleaning on the common area. And need more development on damping proof.Overall stay is satisfactory and will recommend again.

The hotel is 3 star but in reality the hotel can’t be 0 star alsoIt was so bad that hotel staff was drunk each and every time and there were continuously smoking.The rooms were very small that only 2 per people can barely adjust, 2 people can’t leave their cormfatable enough.The big room were also small and the sofa cum bed was broken we can’t also even sit on it.The resto of that hotel was so bad that it served cold and cheap food.Each floor was having dust and they were not cleaning it.The lift was so small that only 2 people can’t adjust in it.And the washroom was having rotten fish smell.The blankets, bedsheets and the floor carpet were so dirty and not washed from months.I say to everyone dont ever stay there.

Stayed at Mount Royale during our trip, and it turned out to be one of the worst hotel experiences. The property is completely misrepresented and nowhere close to what is shown or claimed.Rooms were extremely small, poorly maintained, and lacked basic cleanliness. The overall condition felt more like a low-grade lodge rather than any standard hotel. Facilities were almost non-existent, and nothing matched the expectations set at the time of booking.Food quality was very poor with limited quantity’just basic items with no proper service or hospitality. The entire setup felt unprofessional and badly managed.Overall, a completely bogus place with no value for money. Not recommended at all.

If there were an option to give 0 stars, I would have chosen that without hesitation.The biggest and most serious issue was water. Most of the taps were not working, and there were constant water problems throughout our stay. This is not a minor inconvenience, especially when you are traveling with elderly parents. My senior citizen parents were unable to use the washroom properly at night because of this issue. That is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one that charges a hefty amount.The maintenance and overall management are extremely poor. Basic facilities were not functioning, and there seemed to be no urgency to fix them. For the price they charge, the return in terms of comfort and reliability is almost zero.To be fair, the service staff, especially Cyrus and the reception chief lady, were well behaved and polite. Cyrus also prepared a good breakfast and was very sweet and helpful. He was genuinely the only positive part of the experience.The so-called ’view rooms’ are also misleading. Only a small portion of the window opens, while the rest is covered, so the view is quite restricted.This stay completely ruined our two days in Darjeeling with family. I would never visit this place again and would strongly advise others, especially families with elderly people or children, to avoid staying here.The only bright spot during our trip was a small shop owned by a Nepali couple nearby, which served far better and more delicious food than the hotel.Overall, extremely disappointing experience. Not recommended.
