Hotel New Republic

I chose this hotel because it claimed to have air conditioning. Being 5 months pregnant and visiting Paris during an intense heatwave, we found the AC in our room was not functioning upon arrival. They gave us a fan that didn't help, and I requested a room change, refund, or transfer to a partner hotel. They said they'd handle it in the morning, which was when we were leaving anyway. Nearby hotels with AC were fully booked, and they never responded to my refund email. Avoid this place - the rooms are outdated. For a better experience, I suggest Hotel Fabric nearby.

Ho letto varie recensioni sia prima che dopo il mio soggiorno in questo hotel e avrei voluto aggiungere anch'io un commento positivo, ma purtroppo devo esprimere tutto il disagio vissuto durante il mio soggiorno, durato per fortuna solo 3 notti, perché non avrei sopportato nemmeno una notte in più. L'hotel si presenta come un 4 stelle, ma non ha nulla di una struttura di quel livello. Ho letto recensioni che parlavano di acque aromatizzate, phon Dyson, frigo in camera, stanze pulite e curate, ma io non ho trovato nulla di tutto ciò. Essendo l'hotel diviso in due edifici adiacenti, suppongo che il servizio a 4 stelle sia presente solo in uno dei due. Consiglio quindi di fare molta attenzione alla stanza scelta al momento della prenotazione. Ho soggiornato nella maison Albert e, essendo in vacanza con la famiglia, ho potuto confrontare la mia stanza con le altre. Purtroppo tutte avevano un livello di igiene molto basso. La moquette è un materiale poco igienico e se non viene pulita e igienizzata spesso, le stanze risultano polverose e con un odore sgradevole. Il bagno e la doccia in particolare non sembravano puliti, con muffa e incrostazioni negli angoli e il piatto doccia non sembrava affatto pulito. Inoltre, essendo un bagno senza finestra, la ventola dovrebbe funzionare, ma non funzionava. L'aria condizionata, pur accesa e impostata al minimo (16 gradi), non funzionava. La stanza era molto calda e di notte era impossibile dormire. Capisco che facesse molto caldo, ma un hotel 4 stelle dovrebbe almeno garantire un ambiente vivibile e un servizio di qualità superiore. Il corretto funzionamento dell'aria condizionata dovrebbe essere il minimo. Inoltre, non c'era nemmeno un minibar, quindi non avevamo nemmeno un po' d'acqua fresca a disposizione durante il soggiorno. La stanza aveva la televisione, ma non avevamo nemmeno il telecomando per accenderla. Insomma, siamo partiti con l'intenzione di divertirci e rilassarci, ma siamo tornati a casa più stanchi e stressati di prima. Questo hotel non vale assolutamente quello che costa. Lo sconsiglio totalmente.

Sehr gute Lage! Die U-Bahn ist schnell zu Fuß zu erreichen. Cafés und Restaurants sind in der Nähe. Sogar ein kleiner Supermarkt befindet sich direkt neben dem Hotel. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und schön gestaltet. Das Bett war etwas klein, aber für ein paar Nächte völlig ausreichend.

The room was excellent: very clean, the air conditioning worked flawlessly despite the heatwave outside, and the accommodation was generally comfortable. However, the service was disappointing. We arrived late at night and found no one at reception, so we had to wait. When we finally checked in, we were informed our room was on the top floor and the elevator was out of order, but were told "we were young and could take the stairs." Another problem occurred on departure day. Although check-out was at noon, housekeeping started knocking and trying to enter our room from about 10:30, well before check-out time. The biggest issue happened after check-out. We left our luggage at reception to explore the city longer, but when we returned, the receptionist had confused my boyfriend's backpack with someone else's. We only noticed this once we were already in our Uber, causing unnecessary stress and lost time. It's unfortunate because the room itself was great, but the overall stay was marred by poor organization and professionalism.
