Hotel Outlook

My experience with Hotel Outlook was disappointing. I was hired to create promotional content for their property, but I have yet to receive the agreed payment for my work. I have reached out multiple times to the General Manager via calls and messages about the unpaid amount, but I have not gotten a proper reply. I hope the management addresses this issue seriously and settles the outstanding payment. I recommend other professionals to get clear payment terms in writing before starting any work with this hotel. Regarding the hotel's statement: I want to clarify some points because their response includes claims that don't match what actually happened. Firstly, the ₹1,000 mentioned by the hotel was not an advance for the content project as they suggest. It was meant to cover travel and petrol costs. My total travel expense was about ₹2,000 for petrol plus tolls. So calling this an "advance payment" for the assignment is misleading. Secondly, the hotel offered the complimentary stay; I did not request or demand it. I could have traveled to Pahalgam, done the shoot, and returned the same day. So implying the stay was extra compensation for the work is also misleading. Most importantly, I delivered the promotional video/content to the hotel. After that, I tried several times to contact the relevant people about the unpaid payment. My calls were ignored and messages unanswered. At no point was I told clearly that payment was withheld due to quality concerns. The hotel now claims it communicated concerns and offered a re-shoot. If so, I ask them to publicly specify when and how they conveyed this after receiving the content, because I never got such communication despite my attempts. I am not trying to harm the hotel's reputation. I am simply requesting payment for professional work I completed and delivered. If the hotel thought the work was unsatisfactory, they should have communicated this promptly and professionally instead of ignoring my calls and messages and then presenting the situation differently publicly. I am willing to resolve this matter professionally and transparently. I also have all relevant communication and travel expense records to support my version of events.

I really like the hotel; the staff are friendly and helpful, the location is great, and the food prepared by Chef Praviz is excellent.
