Staff from the kitchen is rude, eat somewhere else
I called the day before because I was coming in early in the morning. The owner replied I should come straight there and if there is a room available I could have early check in. On my arrival the staff quickly went to work and secured a simple but clean AC room for me. The room was spacious, bathroom was a little small but big enough. There was even a terrace overlooking Kranti Chowk. Hot water shower was great!!Breakfast area was not very clean and service was a little slow so I went elsewhere since I was in a hurry. They are in the process of putting in a lift. Overall I really appreciated their care and cleanliness.
I was pleasantly surprised by how my stay at Hotel Unnati went. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. I didn't speak Hindi at all, but the man at the reception spoke enough English for communication to not be too big of an issue. The room, which came with a useful balcony, was basic, but spacious and clean enough. The bathroom was also clean. The shower had good water pressure and the heater worked well. I only wished that they had offered to make up my room at least once during my 4-night stay. The hotel is near a major intersection, but the noise insulation was great and there is ample public transport nearby. Overall, I'm very pleased that I chose to stay here, and I think it will be my hotel of choice if I ever find myself back in this city.
