Ken River Lodge

Our stay at this lodge by the beautiful Ken River was truly memorable. The location is exceptional, with charming huts nestled amidst nature and the constant sound of birds chirping creating a peaceful atmosphere. Spotting paradise flycatchers within the premises was a delight, and we were even fortunate enough to see a monitor lizard, which added to the wilderness experience.The dining area deserves special mention. Beautifully positioned facing the river, it offers stunning views while you enjoy your meals. The food was delicious, simple, and homely, making every meal comforting and enjoyable. The staff were incredibly humble, attentive, and always ready to help. They took great care of our safari meal arrangements and warmly welcomed us back from every safari with refreshing lemonade and cool towels’a thoughtful touch that was greatly appreciated.A special thank you to Mr. Anil from the dining team for his outstanding hospitality and to Mr. LuvVardhan for sharing his knowledge and ensuring we had a wonderful experience throughout our stay.Having visited all the Pugdundee lodges, this was the last one on our list, and it was interesting to experience the very first property in the group. However, there were a couple of aspects that left us slightly disappointed. Unlike the other Pugdundee lodges, this property does not offer the signature reusable water bottle as a souvenir gift. More importantly, we missed the personal interaction that we have always enjoyed at other Pugdundee properties, where the manager and naturalists regularly engage with guests during safaris, lunch, or dinner. Here, there seemed to be less interest in interacting with guests, which made the experience feel a little less personal.Overall, the stunning riverside setting, abundant birdlife, excellent food, and caring staff made for a wonderful stay, despite a few areas where the guest experience could be enhanced.

My stay at Ken River Lodge was fantastic! The rooms offered great comfort, the service was flawless, and the setting was stunning. Definitely a top choice for an ideal escape!

We stayed there for two nights 22nd and 23rd May 2026 in the STILTED COTTAGE (no.4) in front of the beautiful Ken river.The whole property is awesome.There is even a private pool inside cottage which is really private.WeI couldn't find anything missing in the cottage.Food was good, you don't expect too much in the true forest. Still it was quite good.The lodge staff was so helpful.Special thanks for Mr. Rahul.The Madla gate of Panna tiger reserve is pretty close 1.5 km only.

We stayed for two nights on May 22nd and 23rd, 2026, in the STILTED COTTAGE (no.4) overlooking the beautiful Ken river. The entire property is fantastic. The cottage even has a private pool that is truly secluded. I found everything I needed in the cottage. The food was decent; you can't expect too much in a genuine forest setting, but it was still quite good. The lodge staff were very helpful. Special thanks to Mr. Rahul. The Madla gate of Panna tiger reserve is very close, just 1.5 km away.
