Kences Hotel

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating stay at Kences Hotel for two day. This property does not deserve its 3-star rating at all.The experience started badly with the receptionist, who was rude and unprofessional. We were not treated properly during check-in, and no one was available to assist with our luggage. This is basic hospitality, and it was completely missing.The room was in terrible condition. It smelled bad the moment we entered. The bathroom was full of cockroaches, which is absolutely unacceptable and unhygienic. Several amenities were not working, including the TV. We had specifically booked a king-size bed but were given a queen-size bed instead without any explanation.Overall, the stay was stressful and not worth the money paid. I feel completely misled by the 3-star rating. I strongly do not recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tirupati unless they drastically improve their cleanliness, maintenance, and staff behavior.

Had a great experience, stayed for two nights, three days.The rooms were tidy, ample space in the room. Breakfast was great. Overall it was worth the price.This is a 3-4 star property, so do not expect 5 star like comfort and NOT everything would be perfect. It’s in the city center so that is a big big plus. Easily you can find transport to places like Vishnu Nivasam, and the Tirumala Temple.

Breakfast was good, Dinner was also good. But for location and staff this hotel deserve zero rating. Our room had cockroaches roaming all over, no hot water post 4 PM. One should eat energy bar to push flush in Toilet. We thought it was fortune kences, after booking we realised. Anyways it's not good experience.

Hotel Kences was a bit disappointing this time. It is no longer well maintained as it was earlier under Fortune group. The rooms look dated, there is not enough lighting and the washrooms need a major upgrade. Cleanliness and breakfast were good. The staff is cordial but expects tips for every minor task. Coming back to the drawbacks - we stayed in suite room (401) for one night and executive room (328) for another night. Both the washrooms had poor ventilation and no exhaust fan. The water was not adequately hot and even after complaining there was no resolution. The washroom fixures are all rusting and do not justify the 3-star hotel tag. The food and in-room dining prices are also on the higher side and not justify the quality or taste. Overall, an underwhelming experience and will no recommend to anyone. There are other good and newer options available such as Golden Tulip and Pai Viceroy.

I stayed here for one night. The stay and facilities were generally good, and the biggest advantage is the location ’ it’s right next to the bus stand, making travel and commute very convenient.However, the breakfast buffet was just okay and didn’t really meet expectations, especially considering the price. Overall, it’s a decent place for a short stay, but feels a bit expensive for what it offers.
