There was a major renovation going on in the hotel, the room right below the room allocated to us was getting re constructed due to which there were constant drilling and hammer noises in our room. We would wake up to these annoying construction noises and it would go on till the evening. It completely ruined our experience. Also the pool was not operational due to renovation.
Good location with walkable distance to beach .. overall value for money could be better considering the price point.
Our stay at Lemon Tree Amarante was disappointing. We had our honeymoon here in 2016 and returned ten years later hoping to relive those great moments, but it fell short. The hotel now seems like a two-star place with four-star staff. The employees are wonderful—attentive, courteous, and professional—but the property badly needs upkeep. The linens are worn, pool chair covers are moldy, the pool has an "Under Maintenance" sign even though it’s open, and the sunken pool bar is shut, dilapidated, and unattractive. Oddly, we were assigned a room in the middle of a wing undergoing renovation. The fitness center was dark, smelled musty, and had dirty furniture outside, making me uneasy about using it. The whole hotel felt neglected and uncared for, creating a sad atmosphere. We were excited to return but ended up disappointed. While the staff and food are commendable, the rooms, facilities, maintenance, and overall vibe no longer match the hotel we once knew.
