The property is beautiful and exceptionally well maintained. The rooms are big and spacious and very thoughtfully laid out. The only drawback is that the restaurant shack has lost its vibrancy. There is hardly anyone there in the evenings unlike some of the other hotel shacks next door. Perhaps because there is no open area from the shack out onto the beach.
Palm Grove is a beautiful property that has been put together lovingly. I enjoyed the abundance of greenery amidst which the rooms were hidden. Rooms are wonderfully designed and stay true to the theme and concept. Staff are courteous and efficient. The only thing missed in August was perhaps a better view of the beach from the restaurant. Nearby hotels appeared to have managed this despite monsoon challenges. Hopefully Palm Grove does too..and soon.
It's built really well as an individual unit with a spacious bed/bath/lounge area. However, the villas face inwards, towards each other, and share a single passage for in and out to the restaurant and the beach - so everyone who passes by can see through the glass into your sitting area. The thin walls add onto the lack of privacy.
