While it can be understood that a place in midst of nature takes lot of efforts to maintain. But still cleanliness in common amenities can be better. Swimming pool was also very dirty
Room balcony had lot of insects and mosquitoes and a crow that used to come flying hitting on the head of the person standing in balcony. Also the staff was not quick and supportive. Had a tough time locating the place going for wineyard visit and wine testing. There was staff to take you there, even no signboards made it difficult to locate that place. I did not find my stay worth the money which I spent and highly disappointed. Breakfast was the only thing I found good and pomegranate wine was good.
The overall experience was negative from the start. 1. Check-in: I called the hotel a day prior and their systems were down so they could not check my booking. They said they would call back, but never did. On arrival, they did not have our booking and had to check with Agoda. Nonetheless, we went for lunch and after around 45 mins we got out room.2. Room: We book the Barrel room and were disappointed. Completely dark with no provision to increase the light. Bed posts that made the room smaller. A huge bathtub (nice) but with water spilling on the floor, it's a disaster waiting to happen as you get out. No drinking water bottle kept in the room and toilet paper was handed over without a cover.3. Staff: Overall courteous but very understaffed. The lady at reception was scolding staff for delaying to return after their lunch break, in front of us. 4. Facilities & Property: No shower area before entering the pool. Plastic bottles, wrappers, tissues littered around the property (likely by the guests). Flies in the restaurant & lots of crows on the outside area. A hinderance while having breakfast. Dirty cups and plates from the adjoining barrel house were left unattended throughout our stay.5. Food: Overall good. Ordered the non-veg platter which was really good. Tea and Coffee was too milky for my preference.My experience from 10 years back is what prompted me to book again, but I was highly disappointed.
