The location was good as it was inside the Jaisalmer Hotel, the staff were really good, the experience was good, and the room was pretty much clean.

India • Dec 2025We stayed for one night at Shiva Guest House, located inside the Jaisalmer Fort, and it was a wonderful experience overall. The guest house has an authentic old charm, giving a real feel of living inside the historic fort.The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and we had a comfortable stay. Although parking is outside the fort and there’s a long walking distance to reach the guest house, the experience of staying inside the fort made it worth it.We enjoyed a delicious Rajasthani thali cooked by Rahim Bhai, which was truly exceptional. Rahim Bhai and the staff were very cooperative and friendly, ensuring we had a pleasant stay.Our kids really enjoyed the unique atmosphere of staying inside the fort. The only drawback was the lack of hot water, but apart from that, everything was great.Overall: A memorable and authentic Jaisalmer experience — perfect for those who want to stay inside the fort and enjoy traditional Rajasthani hospitality.
It is inside Jaisalmer fort , so location is perfect but there are so many narrow lanes so if you come by car, it may not come inside, auto rickshaw can come. Caretaker Rajeev was nice person, he helped us to pick from railway station and helped to book taxi to Sem desert.
