Spree Manor Hotel

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was disappointing enough to warrant an honest account for future travellers. As a frequent traveller a 3-star hotel should reasonably offer, the overall condition and maintenance of this property fell well below expectations.From the moment we entered the room, there was a noticeable damp smell that immediately raised concerns about ventilation and upkeep. Unfortunately, this proved to be a recurring theme throughout the stay. The walls were marked and visibly dirty, giving the room an unmaintained and neglected appearance.One of the most surprising issues was that the television could not connect to the hotel’s own Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi requires room authentication via a browser page, something the TV system does not support, rendering the smart TV effectively useless.The mini fridge, although plugged in, did not function at all. Drinks left inside overnight were actually warm by morning due to heat being emitted from the unit rather than cooling. This suggests the appliance had not been checked prior to guest arrival.In another room occupied by my family, a fridge was present but not even set up or plugged in. In my parents’ room, there was no fridge at all. When staff were asked about this, the response received was simply, ’Why do you need a fridge’? Which felt dismissive and unprofessional.The balcony doors, despite leading to a non-accessible area, had visible gaps which allowed mosquitoes and insects to enter the room (an obvious comfort and hygiene concern.)The bathroom conditions were particularly disappointing. There was a persistent unpleasant odour, with visible mould and dampness in corners. Drainage flies were present near both the toilet and shower area. The shower head was rusted, water pressure was extremely poor, and water dispersed unevenly. Most concerningly, hot water did not work in the shower at all.Cleanliness overall was below acceptable standards. Floors remained dusty and dirty even after housekeeping had mopped, and there were visible marks on the bed sheets.Our experience was unfortunately not isolated. My family occupied two additional rooms in the same hotel, both suffering from similar issues. In my parents’ room, the shower did not function whatsoever.Their room also had a stronger damp odour, almost resembling urine, along with stains and marks on the walls. They were provided with only a single towel for two guests, further reflecting a lack of attention to basic hospitality standards.The only genuine positive of the stay was the food prepared by the chef, which was enjoyable and clearly the one area where care and effort were evident.It is also difficult to reconcile our experience with the large number of glowing five star reviews online, many of which appear overly generic and inconsistent with the actual condition of the hotel, giving the impression of an artificially inflated reputation.Ironically, every hotel room door displays a red circular sign stating ’Do More.’ It is a message the hotel’s own management and staff would benefit from taking to heart, as the property currently struggles to deliver even the most basic standards expected of a 3-star establishment.For a property advertised as a 3-star hotel, guests should reasonably expect functional amenities, cleanliness, and basic maintenance. Unfortunately, this stay fell significantly short on all counts. With proper upkeep and more attentive service, many of these issues could be easily resolved, but in its current condition, I would not recommend this hotel.UPDATE:They have plugged in a scent diffuser in our rooms.Fixed the shower in my parents room. (Cold water only)Replaced my room mini fridge. However, I left bottled water in over night and they were warmer than room temperature.Removed the brand new mini fridge from my brother's room as there was no outlet for it to be plugged into and moved it into my parents room. (Fridge was hot enough to dry clothes)It's unfair that the chef came to apologise to us for the fridge issue. Management has issues.

We stayed at the Spree Hotel Manor in Aurangabad for three nights during the last week of our stay. Check-in went very smoothly. We arrived well ahead of schedule, yet the team provided one room immediately and another within an hour. The staff at the front desk was friendly, efficient, and proactive, making our stay pleasant.We booked a deluxe room and a deluxe suite, both on the second floor. The deluxe room was decently sized, clean, and functional ’ with a dining table, sofa set, TV, menus, and a full bathroom in the bedroom section. When traveling with a 4-year-old, the extra space made a significant difference. The rooms were clean, housekeeping was prompt, and room service was responsive. We spoke with Mr. Kakasaheb in the food department; he was very polite and wonderful. The food was as good as he described. The bathroom facilities were of good quality, and the charging points were plentiful and well-maintained ’ something even newer hotels don't offer. The air-conditioning controls were straightforward and effective. Overall, we had no complaints about the rooms. The hotel is spread across a large property, and the outdoors are very pleasant. There's a large parking lot and a good restaurant, but the main service was very fast, and the staff was very friendly. Dinner was a buffet. Service was always good, especially at lunch. Since we were on a trip, it didn't affect us much. The buffet was quite extensive, though there were mostly Indian and Oriental options. Some simple continental items’like pasta’would have been helpful for the kids. This is more of a minor issue than a complaint.Overall, I found the property comfortable, value for money, and the staff was always pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Spree Manor Aurangabad, and I wouldn't think twice before staying there again.

Spree Manor hotel is very good. Rooms are neat clean and comfortable. The restaurant is also good and staffs are customer friendly. Especially Vikas and Gowtham are very humble and guest service oriented. Food is also tasty and options are available.

The overall 5 rating goes to the staff that goes out of their way to ensure you have the best experience for your stay in Aurangabad. The Food Concierge dipartment Mr Kakasaheb chavan were phenomenal. They gave us great tips to ensure that we would accomplish our activities and they ensured that our very early morning breakfast to go was ready.The dining experience was top notch too. Master Chef durga spoiled us with all the local delicacies. He truly spoiled my wife as he made her special vegetarian dishes she was longing to enjoy in India. Restaurant team dining were exceptional. They all made our stay at the Spree manor memorable. Would highly recommend the place just for the hospitality.
