Spring Valley Resort By DLS Hotels

A rare find in Mcleod Ganj -- a large comfortable lounge area with HEATING during the cold weather! (It became my remote office during my stay.) The staff is always ready to help, it's next to the taxi stand, and there are heaps of restaurants, shops and a very cool temple nearby. TIP: Take an auto (rickshaw) into town for a fixed price of 80 Rs.

We two had visited this hotel a week back.The hotel is near to Bagsunath Temple in McLeodganj and is very well located. We had a room with beautiful mountain looking terrace.The rooms were average and requires little uplift. In our room the charging plugs were of so low quality ,we could only use one charging plug somehow.So far as Room service is concern it was average, Though over all property was good.WE had breakfast and dinner included and I must say the Banquet and food taste quality were excellent. It was neat clean and hygienic. The serving staff were good and very attentive.As the property is well located one must visit to enjoy the mountain view from terrace

The hotel’s location is convenient, with easy access to caf??s, local shops, and main walking areas of Bhagsu’McLeodganj.Staff are generally polite and cooperative, though service response time can be inconsistent during peak hours.Cleanliness inside the rooms is acceptable, but common areas and exterior spaces require better upkeep.The balcony offers good ventilation, however the ambience is below expectations due to poor maintenance and lack of seating comfort.Basic amenities are provided, but they feel outdated compared to the price charged.Suitable for a short stay if location is the priority, but not ideal for guests expecting premium comfort or value for money.

I stayed at Spring Valley Resort & Spa by DLS, McLeodganj (Dharamshala) and had a very disappointing experience. The property’s online images are highly misleading and starkly contrast with the actual condition of the rooms.The structure appeared dilapidated and poorly maintained. The room door did not close properly, the linens were dirty with visible hair, and stains were present across multiple surfaces. For a so-called 4-star resort, the basic standards of cleanliness and upkeep were clearly not met.Despite being in a hill station, there was no heater or blower provided in the room. I was charged ’500 per night for a heater, which was faulty due to a broken heating rod and did not work properly. Despite repeated requests, the heater was not replaced, and the staff insisted on charging the full amount, displaying an unhelpful and arrogant attitude.Wi-Fi connectivity was another major letdown. The signal was extremely weak and unreliable’practically non-existent’making it unusable throughout the stay.Breakfast was decent but offered a very limited spread. Hot water availability was also a serious issue; it lasted for barely 10 minutes, after which the next person had to wait nearly 30 minutes for hot water again.I had booked a Luxury Cottage room, but the condition was so poor and uncomfortable that I had to request a change to a lower category room just to make the stay bearable.Special request to fellow travelers: Please avoid booking the Luxury Cottage rooms at this property. Overall, this stay was far below expectations and does not justify either the pricing or the 4-star claim.

The hotel is amazing and walking distance to Bhagsunag temple and waterfall with amazing views from terrace and local markets with breakfast included. They also provide buffet dinner with Rs500 per person and Rs250 for kids. The most thing I loved is their staff who are extremely helpful. Some recommendations from me would be to include heater as currently they tune the AC Temperature which is not enough in winters with some maintenance in restrooms. Unfortunately they don't have foldable beds and one of your family members need to sleep on floor bedding matress. Parking is limited however they provide parking near by which is paid by them.
