We have taken a Premium cottage. Pros and cons belowPros:1. Excellent Resort 2. Extremely Helpful Staff3. Rooms are big and tidy. 4. Surrounded by forest5. Excellent food. 6. Auto available to commute withing the resortCons:1. Agoda shows the resort "Stone Wood Nature Resort" as 1.5kms away from Om beach and the location shown in Agoda for this resort is not right. The actual name of the resort is "Stonewood Premier". And this is around 3.5 kms to Om Beach. This should be properly dealt by the resort team. 2. No beach view3. Felt a little costlier but we can see every penny we spent for during our stay (cleanliness, location, staff, amenities etc). 4. Resort is very big and you have to walk a lot to go to reception if you take premium cottage, but it will not be a big problem because the resort provides and auto for the commute inside resort.Overall, excellent stay. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who plans to stay in Gokarna.

I recently stayed at this 4-star rated property and was deeply disappointed. The room and overall service fell far below acceptable standards. On the first night, I had to ask for the bed linen to be changed due to stains, and I found a centipede in the bed linen itself. There were multiple stains on furnishings/linen, dampness and mould under the bathroom sink, and the bathroom sliding door was not working properly. The swimming pool also looked unclean and poorly maintained.Food & Beverage service was equally poor. The veg grilled sandwich I ordered was easily the worst I’ve had in a hotel of this category. When I called for room service at 7 PM, staff told me to call again after 7:30 PM with no explanation. During table clearing, I observed a floor dustpan being used while clearing tables, and the staff member held clearance from other tables in their hand while clearing our table—basic service etiquette and hygiene awareness were clearly missing.Additionally, the roads leading to the property are in bad shape, making access difficult and adding to the overall negative impression. For a 4-star hotel, the combination of cleanliness issues, a centipede in the bed linen, mould, broken fixtures, an unclean pool, untrained F&B staff using a floor dustpan near dining areas, and poor approach roads is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this property until these problems are seriously addressed.

Overall, our stay was comfortable and pleasant. However, one aspect that I did not particularly appreciate was the way the restaurant staff communicated with us during dinner. There was a buffet dinner that evening, and one of the staff members specifically mentioned that the buffet could not be shared among guests. While I completely understand that buffet charges are typically calculated per person and that sharing is not permitted, we had no intention of sharing the buffet and were already aware of this. The need to explicitly point this out to us, especially when we had not suggested or attempted to share the food, came across as unnecessary and made the interaction somewhat uncomfortable. I believe such communication, when not prompted by the guests' actions, can leave a negative impression and reflects poorly on the overall guest experience.I hope the resort can take this feedback constructively and encourage staff to communicate such policies in a more courteous and guest-friendly manner.
