Good staffs and clean rooms
I had planned a trip to Valparai, Ooty, and Coimbatore and chose this hotel for my stay. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had.When I checked in, the bathroom was not properly cleaned. Since I only intended to use the room for sleeping, I decided to overlook it. However, the bed itself was in poor condition, with visible stains and signs of poor maintenance. Exhausted from traveling, I still went to sleep.Around 3:00 AM, I woke up due to continuous bites and a power cut. At first, I assumed it was mosquitoes. During the power outage, I asked the receptionist if they could switch on the generator. His response was that the power would probably return soon, and if it didn't come back within the next 30 minutes, they would consider turning on the generator. I found this response completely unreasonable. As a paying guest trying to get some rest in the middle of the night, I shouldn't have to sacrifice my sleep waiting to see whether the power returns.I then requested either a fresh bedsheet or some assistance with the biting issue. The receptionist said he couldn't provide a replacement and suggested that I might have left the window open. I checked immediately, and the window was completely closed. I also asked for a mosquito repellent, but I was informed that none was available and that they could not arrange one at that hour.The next morning, I realized the bites were actually from bed bugs, not mosquitoes. After informing the staff, I was moved to another room. Unfortunately, the second room had the exact same issue. I couldn't sleep there either because of the bed bugs and eventually had to sleep on the floor—something I have never had to do during any previous hotel stay.This experience was extremely disappointing and highlighted serious cleanliness, pest control, and maintenance issues. Hotels should ensure basic hygiene, guest comfort, and proper backup arrangements for situations like power outages. I will never forget this stay, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend this property to anyone.
