I stayed at Hotel Swarna, Digha on 14th and 15th August 2026 with 3 persons in a Superior Room. I paid a total of INR *** for the two-day stay, but unfortunately, I felt the overall experience was not worth the amount paid.The quality of the room, cleanliness, food and overall hospitality did not match the price we paid. When we entered the hotel, no welcome drink or proper welcome gesture was provided. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, which was disappointing from a basic hygiene and housekeeping perspective.The quality of the pillows was also not good and did not provide the comfort expected from a hotel at this price level.The complimentary drinking water provided was only 500 ml per person per room, which I found inadequate considering the room tariff. The food quality was also below expectations, and the overall hospitality and service did not reflect the level of service I expected at this price.Another issue was the limited car parking space at the hotel. On the second day, after returning from a short local trip, we faced considerable difficulty finding a place to park our car. For guests travelling by car, proper parking arrangements are an important facility and should be managed better.Considering that we paid INR *** for two days for three persons, I expected much better room quality, cleanliness, comfortable bedding and pillows, food, hospitality, parking facilities and basic amenities.Overall, my experience was disappointing and poor value for money. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes meaningful improvements to the quality of service and overall guest experience.
. The first issue was that the AAP was supposed to be for the family, including children, with no extra charges. However, the hotel charged 500 extra, excluding the extra bed and breakfast.Secondly, the tea was not good. So, we didn’t feel confident enough to try the rest of the food.Thirdly, when we went for lunch, we went with the whole family. We heard that there is only one part-time cook available. Not recommended.
Had an excellent stay at New Digha. The hotel is conveniently located close to both Digha railway station and New Digha bus stop. The check-in and check-out were smooth, and they offered a welcome drink. The rooms are fantastic—clean, spacious, and equipped with all essentials like centralized AC, comfortable beds, a mini fridge, kettle, continuous hot and cold water, and a large balcony. The bathroom is spotless with a nice rain shower. The ground floor houses a multi-cuisine restaurant serving tasty, homely dishes. The complimentary breakfast is quite good, and the restaurant staff are friendly and helpful. The highlight is the swimming pool, which is well-kept, not crowded, with clean water and active filtration, and has a suitable depth for swimming. Poolside mocktails are available, and there is a rain dance area next to the pool, along with changing rooms and showers. This relatively new hotel offers excellent hospitality, with very supportive and helpful staff. It's an ideal choice for larger groups.
