Taj Niwas Homestay

Stayed here for 1 night. The rooms are big and spacious and neat and clean as well.Morning there was no water in bathroom which was promptly fixed by the manager/caretaker.Morning breakfast was very delayed and there was no choice except puri sabzi. They won't give breakfast before 9:30. Although we had to leave by 8-8:30 so after repeated requests the breakfast was made available around 9:15-20. They got it from somewhere outside I suppose.There was no free water bottle upon check in which was later on provided after too much of discussion. This should have been provided by default as a normal without any discussion.They need to work ontheir breakfast options though.They do not accept credit cards only UPI or cash as payment, so payment options are also limited . There is no lift in the building so have to walk through the stairs to second floor.

This is without a doubt the best experience in India, and this is in a city infamous for its terrible hotels.I can't believe how friendly the staff was, and they never asked for tips in return for their kindness, even though we tried to give them many times.Also, with dinner, we thought the price of our stay was 5700 inr, and they said 5500 inr. When we tried to pay 200 inr extra, they downright refused.The food was also the best we have had so far in India. Their Lemon Rice with Chicken Curry and Chapati was definitely the best meal we have had in India. Especially when eaten on their nice balcony.Stay in this hotel. I swear you will thank god, whether you believe in him or not, for having stayed here.

Great rooms and great room service. I recommend booking online for great prices. They rooms were clean, and all the utilities were provided.

This little hotel was like a haven from Agra. The man running it was so attentive and kind. We arrived hours before check-in and they were very understanding and made the room ready for us immediately. My fiance was very sick with something he ate along the way, and the staff went out for medicine for him and made him tea multiple times, gave advice on which types of food he should eat... So kind. At the end of our trip when we mentioned we needed to exchange currency they even took us on a scooter to a currency exchange place. The food was completely delicious as well and could be delivered to the room for reasonable prices. We are so thankful for our time here.

Overall it is good! There is a lot of potential here. The rooms are really good, it is just the services and amenities which need to be worked on! The rooms are clean, the showers are good, the place is in a nice quiet area which is relaxing! The things that need improvement are the Wi-Fi and electricity issues, and also communication amongst staff about orders and timings!! otherwise it’s definitely a nice place and people should stay here! definitely give it a go if you are staying in Agra, it’s a nice place.
