Enjoyed a fantastic staycation at Vaasta Vagamon! The location is tranquil with stunning views of the valley, rooms that are tastefully decorated, and a calming vibe. The infinity pool stood out as a favorite feature. The staff were warm and hospitable, adding to the pleasure of our visit. An ideal spot to relax and get close to nature. Strongly suggest it for a serene escape! 🌿✨

The hotel is excellently located in a stunning area, and the property itself is modern and stylish. The staff were polite and courteous. However, we faced a language barrier since they mainly spoke Malayalam, but they were patient in trying to understand us. The facilities were well kept, making our stay unforgettable.

We stayed at Vaasta Vagamon for two nights with four families in four cottages. The property has some good points, but overall our experience was quite average due to poor upkeep, utility problems, and limited amenities. The design, created by a famous Kerala architect, is impressive and the rooms are spacious. The best part was the service staff, especially in the restaurant, who were very hardworking, friendly, and accommodating. However, the construction quality seems cheap as the finishing is already deteriorating despite the property being new. We saw damp walls and a visible leak under the swimming pool. Other families had ceiling leaks in their bathrooms. Cleanliness was lacking with stains on bedsheets, walls, and floors. There are hardly any activities except a small kids' play area. A nearby stream is unsafe and inaccessible due to a steep path ending abruptly. Utilities were frustrating with frequent power cuts affecting water pressure and showers fluctuating between hot and cold. The cottages only have sheer curtains, making mornings too bright to sleep. Food was average; the chef specializes in North Indian cuisine, so South Indian dishes were disappointing. Dessert choices were limited to gulab jamun and ice cream. Unless major improvements are made in infrastructure, utilities, and maintenance, I cannot recommend Vaasta Vagamon. I rate it 2 stars mainly for the architecture and excellent staff.
