Abad Copper Castle Hotel

Top hotel in Munnar, excellent location.

Abad Resorts is a great choice for a holiday in Munnar, offering more affordable rates compared to many luxury hotels there. I want to highlight Ajit, who has amazing expertise in different types of body massages. He gave me an excellent massage that brought complete relaxation. So, I give Abad a 5-star rating.

We spent a weekend at Abad Copper Castle this month. Initially, we were quite unsure about traveling and staying there with our 8-month-old baby since it was his first weekend trip. However, the experience turned out to be wonderful and hassle-free, from easy last-minute booking to quick check-in. Traveling with the baby and grandparents, we were given interconnected rooms with stunning views. The manager, Mr. Murali, was very supportive and even arranged for the restaurant staff to assist with baby food. The food was excellent, including the complimentary breakfast. We are very grateful to the restaurant team for helping with our baby's meals. Although we brought our own baby utensils, cooker, and ingredients, they helped prepare food matching our baby's preferences and consistency like home-cooked meals. The reception and housekeeping staff were very friendly. The rooms were beautiful and service prompt. It was a memorable stay for us, our parents, and our little one, making it extra special as it was his first overnight resort stay.

During my 3-night stay at Abad in Munnar, I ended up in the hospital on a wheelchair after eating only at this hotel's restaurant. Despite spending 60k INR with my friends, the manager only agreed to refund 2k INR and refused to offer any meaningful compensation. Half of our group, 3 out of 6 people, suffered severe food poisoning and bacterial infection. The receptionist did what he could to assist, but the corporate office declined to cover the cost of the 3 days lost to hospital visits. The manager showed no concern for guests' health or wellbeing. Our trip to Munnar was ruined, and 3 of us had to undergo a week-long antibiotic treatment along with medical expenses. Avoid this place! There are many other excellent hotels in Munnar where the management truly cares about their guests. We had to spend many hours receiving IV treatment in the hospital. Do not eat the restaurant food here.
