Food taste was bland, breakfast doesnt had any buffet only three option poha poori sbji and fruits. Electricity fluctuation was so bad. And bathroom was completely yuck. Bedsheets smell really bad. Our stay was horrible

We came across what looked like a fantastic deal on Agoda for the “Teakwood Luxury Suite with Balcony” at 8K (listed closer to 14K otherwise). At that price point, you expect something comparable to premium hospitality standards—but unfortunately, this stay turned out to be the complete opposite.Let me break this down clearly:Room & Hygiene Issues:On arrival, the room itself was a shock. The bathroom had a strong foul smell, and worse—there was a rat stuck in the wash basin drain. That alone set the tone for what followed.Pool Misrepresentation:One of the key reasons we booked this place was the pool, especially since we were travelling with our 7-year-old daughter. Nowhere during booking—or even during a prior call with their Bangalore office—was it mentioned that the pool was under maintenance. We were later told it would be usable the next day, but in reality, it was being filled with a pipe and barely reached knee depth. Completely unusable, especially in peak summer.Serious Safety Concern:The suite had wooden panels on the ceiling and walls that were loosely fixed. Some of these panels actually fell off during our stay, narrowly missing us. This could have easily caused serious injury. We were then moved to another room (Teak Room 2), but this kind of lapse is unacceptable.Service & Staff Response:While the staff seemed polite at a surface level, there was a clear lack of training, empathy, and basic hospitality sense. A simple request for additional eggs at breakfast was refused unless we paid 200 extra—which wasn’t the issue. The problem was the attitude, especially after everything we had already experienced.To add to that, stale bread was served and dismissed as “fresh” even after pointing it out.Facilities Not Maintained:The gym was dirty and unusable despite prior assurance it would be cleaned. Commitments made were simply not followed through.Noise & Disturbance:There’s an event hall on the property, and during our stay, there was loud music and commotion for hours due to a function. If you're looking for a peaceful stay, this is something you absolutely need to check in advance.Food & Overall Experience:Food was average—mostly oily, carb-heavy standard fare. Nothing remarkable. Even basic gestures like waiving off minor charges (like bottled water) after such a poor experience were completely absent.Final Take:If you're getting this place at 2K–3K and travelling solo or with friends, maybe you can overlook these issues. But at 8K or above, this is simply not worth it.This stay clearly highlighted why well-run premium hospitality brands price the way they do—and why they rarely discount heavily. It reflects in their service, upkeep, and overall guest experience.A disappointing experience overall, and definitely not a place I would return to.

Basic amenities are not there . Washroom cabinets broken , no quality toiletries supplied . We booked rooms with view …. Practically there were nothing to see . Food was good … limited menu breakfast . Not at all deserve more than 2k-3k .

We booked through Agoda only after finding that there is a swimming pool. But swimming pool was closed.!! in night also freqiently light was going off, so, AC was on/off , it disturbed our sleep also.
