I'm not sure what the issue is, but whenever I try to check in late at night or very early in the morning, they say the hotel is full. I find this hard to believe. This has happened twice in a row. Why won't they let someone check in after drinking beers all night? I've always been polite and quiet. There's no reason to refuse me.

I had high hopes for Crown Regency Hotel & Towers, but my recent two-night stay was very disappointing. When I checked in, the room was in terrible condition. The air conditioner was broken, the bidet was blocked, and the bathroom door knob was stuck locked. We had to argue with the concierge to reach someone because the front desk stopped answering calls. Eventually, an engineer came to fix the door knob and clean the dirty AC filters so it could cool the room, but the overall cleanliness was shocking. The room was dirty, dusty, and badly maintained: the drinking glasses were covered in film and residue, the shower fixtures and dispensers were coated with soap scum, scaling, and rust, the toilet had brownish grime and mildew around the hinges and rim, and the towels given on the first day were thin, gray, and frayed like rags. Housekeeping only came on the second day to ask if I wanted the room cleaned. Seeing they had clean white towels on their cart, I asked for one and joked, “Aw naa man diay moy limpyo nga towel, ngano nagbutang mo diri ug lago?” with a smile to avoid embarrassing the staff, but it showed how poorly the room was prepared initially. Management did nothing to fix the issues, but I still left a ₱xxx tip for housekeeping at checkout, though it would have been more if the hotel met basic standards. Avoid the hassle and book somewhere else; this place is long past its prime and management clearly doesn't care about guest satisfaction.

We were lucky to secure a couple of rooms here for the Sinulog 2026 Festival. The rooms were comfortable and overlooked the parade route. Even though we were on a higher floor, it was great because we had a bird's eye view of the fireworks. Breakfast featured Filipino dishes and was sufficient for a buffet, especially considering how busy the staff were. We would definitely choose to stay here again.
