Desert Heritage Camp and Resort

This place has a wonderful vibe, and I really enjoyed the night cultural folk dance. The cottage service was a bit lacking, but overall, it's a nice place.

We stayed at Desert Heritage Camp & Resort in Jaisalmer, booking one tent and one room. The tent experience was amazing and truly captured the essence of desert camping. The room was okay, but it didn't match up to the tent's charm. In the evening, there was a cultural show with traditional Rajasthani acts, which we really enjoyed. The lively vibe encouraged us to join in the folk dancing, making the night special. A major highlight was the Thar Desert Safari, which was fantastic, and the driver was very skilled. The exciting ride over the dunes was definitely a top moment of our trip. We also tried the star gazing experience, which was a cool idea, but the lack of proper sleeping or reclining options was a downside. We were two couples but had only one cot, so it was hard for everyone to relax comfortably. Better seating or sleeping setups would improve this activity. Another minor issue was that guests were actively prompted to write reviews at the end of the stay. While feedback is valuable, it would feel more genuine if guests shared their thoughts on their own. Overall, we had a wonderful time, especially thanks to the tent stay, cultural program, folk dance, and unforgettable desert safari. With some tweaks, the experience could be even better.
