One of the worst and distressing accommodation experiences we have ever had.We drove nearly 1,200 km in one stretch and arrived around 1:00 AM, exhausted, expecting a few hours of sleep before visiting Ellora Caves. Instead, we walked into a serious hygiene nightmare.The restroom outside was filthy and smelled terrible. The room and bathroom were poorly maintained, and we immediately started sneezing badly because of the dust.Then, around 4:00 AM, we discovered the bed was crawling with bed bugs. We were being bitten badly and found multiple bugs of different sizes crawling across the bedding. We have photographs taken at the time as evidence.We immediately informed Ashutosh, the caretaker on duty. His response? We were told that WE MAY HAVE BROUGHT THE BED BUGS WITH US. Rather than investigating a clearly serious hygiene issue, the responsibility was pushed onto the guests.Multiple bed bugs of different sizes on the same bed are not something a guest simply “brings in” and magically creates within a few hours.Another room was offered, but after seeing the condition of the first room, we had zero confidence in the property’s hygiene and were not willing to gamble with our health.Our concern became even worse when we found bugs on our clothing inside the car. We had to take extensive precautions, including washing and sanitising our belongings and vehicle, because we were terrified of carrying an infestation home.We asked for the manager’s contact details. We were told that 4:00 AM was not an appropriate time to contact the manager. Apparently, it was appropriate to leave guests dealing with bed bugs at 4:00 AM, but not appropriate for management to address it.We were unable to find another room and were effectively stranded on the road until around 7:00 AM. Our next day’s itinerary was completely ruined. The itching continued even after leaving, and we had to seek medical attention the following day.The resort eventually refunded our 3,500, and we also reported the matter to Agoda.This is NOT a complaint about an uncomfortable bed or bad service. This is a serious hygiene and pest infestation issue.We paid for a room expecting the absolute basics: CLEANLINESS, HYGIENE AND A SAFE PLACE TO SLEEP.We got none of those.⚠️ If you are considering booking this property, think twice. Check the hygiene conditions carefully before staying here.

I seldom write negative reviews, but this hotel was so terrible that I feel compelled to warn others. Check-in was a disaster; after a long journey, the front desk staff acted annoyed and it took over an hour despite our prepaid reservation. The room was disgusting—smelled of mold, stained sheets, hair on the bathroom floor, and the AC leaked onto the carpet. The amenities were a joke: the heated infinity pool was cold and dirty, Wi-Fi kept dropping, and room service took hours to arrive cold and wrong. When we complained, the manager just rolled their eyes and said nothing could be done because they were fully booked. No apology or compensation was offered. They charge luxury prices but deliver a motel-level experience. Avoid this place to save your money and sanity.

Not worth the expense

Worst experience ever. They are just cheating people and wasting their time. The rides are terrible. People come here to have fun, but the staff is rude and uncooperative, they don't even know how to talk to guests. When people are enjoying, they force them to eat without their consent. Very disappointing experience and I do not recommend it to anyone; better to avoid and save your money. For big families, I suggest choosing a private resort to enjoy instead of coming here and wasting money. It's not worth spending a lot of money here.

The staff at Fort View Resort come across as quite arrogant. They dismiss basic requests and create an unwelcoming atmosphere, which spoiled the entire stay.
