recently stayed at Hotel Garuda. The experience was overall average. The rooms were decent and reasonably clean, but nothing exceptional. Basic amenities were available, though the maintenance and overall ambience could definitely be improved.The service was okay ’ not particularly warm or proactive, but manageable. It’s suitable for a short, simple stay if you’re not expecting anything luxurious.Overall, I would rate it as just satisfactory ’ neither disappointing nor impressive.

We booked a room at Hotel Garuda, Thrissur through Agoda for 30/01/2026. The hotel is listed as a 5-star property, and the room provided was labeled as an Executive Room.However, the room ’ especially the bathroom ’ was extremely unhygienic. There were visible stains on the floor, mold/fungus along the shower glass and corners, and overall poor maintenance.This condition is completely unacceptable for a 5-star rated hotel and does not match the description or price paid.After our complaint and lots of talks they changed our room.wait for the room change affected our travel experience .very bad experience from the hotel and staff.We have the evidence of room .we took videos and picturesThe situation we faced is not acceptable fir a 4 star rating hotel

Truly enjoy staying at Garuda Hotel - exceptional hotel service, good water pressure, hot water on the spot. They were very prompt with any requests I called in for at the reception and never delayed. The staff were extremely kind and respectful - would 10/10 rebook this stay! Thanks for the wonderful & comfortable time :)

This is not a 5’ property’arguably not even 3’’in terms of service and maintenance. Though centrally air-conditioned, guests have no control over room temperature; the AC wasn’t working on arrival and required 3’4 complaints to fix. Blankets are unnecessary due to the preset temperature ’’.Housekeeping is weak: linens are not changed after previous guests unless insisted upon (even late at night), and towels/doormats are provided only on request. Cleanliness is average and must be followed up.Breakfast (8’10 AM) was only partially ready at 8 AM, limited to idly/upma ’’.Individual staff are courteous, but there appears to be a labour management shortage. Not suitable for quality-conscious guests, perfectionists, or business travellers’one guest was seen vacating early.Rooms are decent, but service, AC maintenance, and cleanliness need significant improvement. Guests should have control over room temperature.Value for money: Not worth paying above ’2,500.Location is the big plus: Super prime’within 500 m’1 km of the railway station, bus stand, Vadukkunathan Temple, and several other temples in Thrissur; cabs/autos are easily available.Haraprasad R( Booking done by MMT)
