Ginger Kochi MG Road

This hotel does not live up to the Tata name. We had to request a kettle and WiFi, which were not provided initially. The WiFi was extremely slow and practically unusable. There was also a lot of noise on the floor.

The rooms and location were excellent. I also want to commend the reception staff member who managed my check-in; he was very helpful and completed everything quickly and efficiently. However, the service was disappointing. I asked twice for a bottle of water but received no response from the team. Eventually, I had to go to the reception myself to request water for our room. During dinner, I called a staff member to tell him something. He said, "Just two minutes," but then got busy on a call and never returned. Later, when we made eye contact, he simply said, "Yes sir, tell me?" This lack of follow-up was frustrating. The next morning, I was leaving early and had asked for packed food. The canteen had given it to reception, but the staff there did not inform me or hand it over. Guests might forget things sometimes, but taking responsibility and following up on guest needs should be part of hospitality training. Overall, the rooms and location are good, but the service needs a lot of improvement. If you want a decent stay and have no better options, you might consider this place; however, based on my experience, I would recommend it with caution due to the poor service.

The room and stay were good. However, the official website indicated that food was included during booking, but after we began breakfast, we were told it would be charged separately. Third-party websites are very clear during booking, but the official site caused this disappointing experience.

I enjoyed my stay at Ginger Hotel MG Road, Kochi. The room was tidy, cozy, and well kept, and the bathroom amenities were satisfactory. The hotel features a nice swimming pool and gym, which is a great bonus. I left early and didn't get to have breakfast. The staff were welcoming and offered excellent service during my visit. The location is very handy, with easy access to the metro and railway station. All in all, it was a comfortable and convenient experience.

Extremely Disappointing and Unhygienic Experience at Ginger Hotel KochiHad a terrible experience at Ginger Hotel Kochi. We found cockroaches in the bedroom, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel.The food was another major concern. During the breakfast buffet, we found expired jam, expired butter, and stale food being served. Serving expired food to guests is a serious hygiene and safety issue and shows a complete lack of quality control.We also raised our concerns with the hotel’s GM, Mr. Jayesh R Nair, but unfortunately, his assurances turned out to be nothing more than empty promises. Despite being made aware of our terrible experience, nothing meaningful was done to address the issues or provide a satisfactory resolution.Cockroaches in the room, expired food at the breakfast buffet, and management that fails to take genuine action ’ this is simply not what anyone expects from a hotel.Overall: Extremely disappointing experience. Poor hygiene, unacceptable food standards, and disappointing management response. Definitely not the experience we expected.
