Ginger Kochi MG Road

I have been a regular guest at Ginger, MG Road, Kochi for the last six months, and my experience has always been great. The rooms are tidy, cozy, and well kept. The staff are friendly, polite, and consistently go above and beyond. The hotel's prime location is also a major plus. The only aspect that could use improvement is the food and beverage service. Offering a wider variety in the buffet, especially at breakfast, and improving the food quality would enhance the stay further. I am eager to return here again.

I am rating this service 1 star only because there is no option for 0 stars. I submitted a request about my cable TV service, but they have not responded. Since my plan wasn't recharged, I can't watch TV. Despite sending multiple reminders, there was no proper follow-up. A technician eventually came, but he didn't know about my complaint. He checked every room and said the same issue was happening elsewhere too. Sadly, my problem remains unresolved. Overall, the experience was very disappointing with bad customer service and poor communication.

The hotel seems to have a significant mold issue. The smell was evident as soon as we entered the lobby and persisted into our room. I chose this hotel because of a previous positive experience at Ginger Goa, but Ginger Cochin was very disappointing. There appeared to be visible black mold in several spots, and the smell was particularly intense at night. We intended to stay for 5 days, but after just one night we felt sick, had trouble sleeping, and left first thing in the morning. The mold odor was so strong it felt suffocating. I strongly recommend other travelers be careful before booking here. The hotel management does not seem to care about the long-standing mold problem.

I must appreciate the service of their staffs particularly receptionists night shift guy and morning the lady. Clean room, perfect AC, clean washroom, good toiletries. I will prefer this hotel for my future bookings.
