Hotel Amaravathi

Pros: The location is very convenient, situated right on the expressway. The room was acceptable and fairly comfortable. The restaurant service was good, and we could order food late into the night. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and probably the best part of our stay. The hotel seems to have been constructed as a proper 3-star establishment. Cons: The photos on Google are misleading, especially about the swimming pool, as the hotel does not have one. Maintenance and service quality appear to have declined over time. Our room lacked several basic items like a dustbin, towels, kettle, cups, glasses, and handwash, and we had to request these multiple times. There seemed to be a severe shortage of staff, with no bellboy available to assist with luggage. The TV was not a smart TV, which nowadays feels like a basic feature. We were repeatedly asked to pay the room-service bill immediately after each order, whereas it would have been more convenient to add these charges to the room bill and pay at checkout, as is usual in better-managed hotels. Overall: The hotel has a good location, decent rooms, and excellent breakfast, but the shortage of staff, maintenance problems, and missing basic amenities lowered the overall experience. It seems like a property originally intended to be a good 3-star hotel but is currently not maintained or managed to that standard. Certainly not worth the price we paid.

Excellent cuisine and top-notch service

We stayed at Hotel Amaravathi in Mandya while traveling to Mysore. We really enjoyed the food, the service from the staff, and the warm hospitality. It's definitely a place worth visiting, with a pleasant atmosphere and clean surroundings.

Our initial impression upon arrival was positive. However, we expected the hotel staff to offer better service, such as a simple smile and a readiness to assist, which was lacking. The corridor and room had a noticeable smell of bleach or cleaning products that was bothersome throughout our stay. The room itself was comfortable. We paid about 4500 for the room, which seemed somewhat pricey compared to Mysuru or other nearby locations. The restaurant food was good, and the waiters' service was acceptable. It was clear that the staff had not been properly trained in customer service; they were not rude, but they did not seem very welcoming either.
