Hotel Aristocrat Darjeeling by Baizus near Mall Road

Had a terrible experience at this hotel. The staff, manager, and owner were all very rude and unhelpful. They charge penalties even for damages that were already there, making guests pay for them. When we entered the room and just moved a water bottle on the table, a slight vibration caused the TV hanging above to fall. We explained multiple times to the manager and owner that the TV was not properly secured and fell due to that, but the owner insisted on charging Rs.11000 as a penalty for a new TV. The TV was old, yet he charged us the price of a new one. He refused to let us check out without paying. After paying, we saw the same broken TV hung back on the wall, probably to charge future guests the same way. This proves the TV was already broken before we arrived, but they still cheated us with the penalty. Besides this, the food was awful, maintenance was poor, and there were many insects in the room. They said it's normal in Darjeeling hotels to have insects.

Overall, the hotel experience was very positive. The room, staff, and housekeeping were all excellent, especially Romika, Ranzu, and Poonam who were very good 👍😊

This is the best property with excellent service, and the staff behavior is especially good, particularly Ranzu, Poonam, and Romika.

June me gaya tha, room aur bedsheet dono gande the, mat bhi ganda tha. Breakfast bhi achha nahi tha aur staff ka koi response nahi mila. Maine ye hotel chhod kar Sumital Residence gaya jo ki same rate par kafi achha tha.

This was the worst experience I've ever had. My phone got stolen at this hotel. The manager refused to let me view the CCTV footage and was rude and abusive. They didn't try to help me recover my phone. I believe someone from the hotel staff took it. I've already reported it to the police.😭 If you plan to stay here, be careful with your belongings because the staff are untrustworthy. The manager and staff also lack respect and proper manners towards guests.
