Hotel Grand Visava

I stayed at this hotel for three days. Before heading out to sightsee, I left my white top hanging on a chair in my room to dry. When I came back, it was gone. I reported this to the hotel staff right away. At first, I thought it might have been mistakenly taken for laundry along with towels or bedsheets, but the staff said no linens or laundry had been collected from my room, so they believed that was not possible. I checked my luggage carefully several times, and the top was definitely missing. Even after bringing up the issue multiple times, I did not get any clear explanation or solution. Losing a guest’s personal item and then not properly investigating or addressing it is very disappointing. From my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel. If personal belongings can disappear without any responsibility taken, it seriously undermines guest trust and security.

We booked directly through Grand Visava's official website because it promised benefits like a 10% discount on food and beverages, which was clearly stated in our booking confirmation. When we had lunch at the hotel's restaurant, I told the waiter about the discount, and he checked with reception. I even sent the booking confirmation via WhatsApp to the receptionist, but she refused to honor the discount despite the proof. We ended up paying the full bill without any effort from the staff to resolve the issue. Additionally, when we asked for a 2-hour late checkout on Sunday, we were charged an extra ₹1,500, even though there was no visible rush of guests. The room was advertised as a "Superior Room with Mountain View," but the only view was of the back of another building, which looked like a service or dumping area, making the description misleading. Overall, the stay was disappointing due to the hotel's failure to honor advertised benefits, extra charges on requests, and lack of guest care. Hospitality should be based on trust and transparency, but Grand Visava did not meet these standards. I will not return and do not recommend this hotel, as Lonavala has many better options that keep their promises. Hotels must be held responsible for their advertised offers, and I hope consumer authorities address such misleading practices to protect customers.

Great hostel featuring tidy, cozy rooms and a lovely pool. The friendly staff contributed to a pleasant stay.

The bathrooms in the hotel are rather small, and there is no hot water after 8:30 a.m. Because of the absence of hot water, I was delayed and unable to follow my schedule, and this problem happened on two days in a row. In general, my two-day stay at the hotel was disappointing due to the service.

We stayed for 3 days at Grand Visava Hotel in Lonavala. The rooms are close by and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Room service was good. There is ample car parking space. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian restaurants and a bar are available, offering tasty food and drinks. The staff are helpful and friendly.
