Hotel Grand Visava

Hotel is overrated. We booked room with lunch and dinner. Buffet was available for non veg guests and separate restaurant for veg in which there was limited menu and there was not buffer for veg guest. First time I seen such food management where veg guests are treated differently and offer limited food. Even beds are not king size. During check they promised extra mattress but when we called for it in the night they asked for extra money. It's better not to stay in this hotel. Or if you book then plz don't have food from this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for three days. Before heading out to sightsee, I left my white top hanging on a chair in my room to dry. When I came back, it was gone. I reported this to the hotel staff right away. At first, I thought it might have been mistakenly taken for laundry along with towels or bedsheets, but the staff said no linens or laundry had been collected from my room, so they believed that was not possible. I checked my luggage carefully several times, and the top was definitely missing. Even after bringing up the issue multiple times, I did not get any clear explanation or solution. Losing a guest’s personal item and then not properly investigating or addressing it is very disappointing. From my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel. If personal belongings can disappear without any responsibility taken, it seriously undermines guest trust and security.

Grand Visava, Lonavala ’ A hotel that doesn't honour its own promises.We booked our stay directly through the hotel's official website, specifically because it advertised benefits such as "10% Off on F&B." The booking confirmation clearly mentions this offer.We had lunch at the hotel's in-house restaurant, and while the bill was being prepared, I informed the waiter that our booking included a 10% discount on Food & Beverage. The waiter called the reception to confirm.I immediately WhatsApped the booking confirmation PDF to the lady at the reception, where the offer was clearly mentioned. Despite having the hotel's own booking confirmation in front of her, she flatly denied that any such discount was applicable. There was no attempt to verify the booking properly, honour the advertised offer, or resolve the issue professionally. We ended up paying the full restaurant bill, even though the discount was clearly part of our booking benefits.The disappointment didn't end there.We requested just a 2-hour late checkout on a Sunday and were asked to pay an additional ’1,500. We did not notice any significant rush of incoming guests that would justify such rigidity. Many hotels accommodate a short late checkout depending on occupancy, but here it felt like every request came with an additional charge.The room was marketed as a "Superior Room with Mountain View." In reality, there was no mountain view at all. The only view was the backside of another building, resembling a service area or dumping ground. Selling this as a mountain-view room is misleading and creates completely false expectations.Overall, this stay was disappointing because the hotel failed to honour the benefits it advertised on its own website, charged extra wherever possible, and showed very little concern for guest satisfaction. Hospitality is built on trust, transparency, and keeping your commitments. Unfortunately, Grand Visava failed on all three.I will not be returning and cannot recommend this property. Lonavala has many hotels that provide far better hospitality and actually honour what they promise.Hotels should be held accountable for the offers they advertise. I hope the Consumer Commission and the appropriate regulatory authorities take note of such misleading practices and ensure that hotels honour the commitments made to customers instead of denying them at the time of billing.

Hotels must be held responsible for their advertised offers, and I hope consumer authorities address such misleading practices to protect customers.

Great hostel featuring tidy, cozy rooms and a lovely pool. The friendly staff contributed to a pleasant stay.
