Hotel Laxmi Residency

We, a family, stayed for *2 nights and had booked 3 rooms through Agoda several weeks in advance*. We arrived at the hotel exactly at *12 PM, the stated check-in time*, but despite booking well in advance, we were denied the rooms we had expected from the listing and were instead given all three rooms on the lower floor, right next to the reception.The listing predominantly shows rooms on the higher floors with large, beautiful French windows and the impression of a much better view. There is apparently only one easily overlooked photo showing the lower-floor rooms we were actually given, which have a door opening toward the balcony. We booked the property based on what was shown in the listing and reasonably expected the rooms pictured there.When asked why- we were told that the hotel was full and there were no vacancies and upon further asking the replies were that we booked "ONLINE" on Agoda. So does booking online means guests are simply given the last rooms left, regardless of what is represented in the listing? This kind of deprioritisation does not make sense if we had booked so early.The rooms themselves also had several maintenance and cleanliness issues. We had to request that the *pillow covers be changed*, the *TV was not working and had to be replaced*, and the *balcony door had broken/missing latches*, which is also a safety concern. There were *ants repeatedly appearing around the toilet seats*, and one of our rooms had a *clogging issue with the toilet*. No water bottles were provided in the rooms on arrival.The listing also shows amenities such as *electric kettles, tea kits and water bottles*, which were not provided in reality. The pool water also appeared cloudy, giving the impression that it was not properly maintained.Unfortunately, the *attitude of the management and staff* was the biggest disappointment. From the moment we questioned the room allocation, the response was rude and arrogant rather than helpful. When my father asked for the TV and other issues to be fixed, he was even told that he could simply *cancel through Agoda and leave*. That is an extremely disappointing way to treat guests who have already travelled to the property and paid for their stay.The stay itself was *tolerable*, but certainly not worth the amount we paid. The property may be suitable for guests looking for the least basic stay, expectations should be kept low. Agoda listing creates expectations that the actual room and amenities do not match, the management showed very little willingness to address the concern.*One thing I genuinely hope Agoda looks into is the way online bookings are handled at this property.* Guests who reserve well in advance should not feel that choosing to book through an online platform somehow puts them at the back of the queue for rooms. A confirmed booking should give guests confidence that they will be treated with the same consideration as any other guest — not that they will simply receive the last available rooms.Overall, a disappointing experience and, for us, *a waste of what was a considerable amount of money for the quality and treatment we received.*

Rooms were not upto the standard, no drinking water. Non Ac rooms are pathetic. Indoor restaurant not available so don't book it.

Worst Hotel ExperienceThis was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The service was extremely disappointing, the staff was not cooperative, and the overall cleanliness and maintenance were far below expectations. The room did not feel properly maintained, and the experience was not worth the money paid.I expected much better hospitality and service. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel to others. Waste of money don't go here....

Ugly rooms , smell and no geyser

We reserved a room for two, but it was terrible with an unpleasant odor and they provided a dirty table fan. There was no cleanliness and the geyser was not functioning. I would recommend avoiding this place.
