Hotel Merlin International

Overall, my stay was good. The bedroom was comfortable, the staff were friendly, polite, and helpful, and the breakfast was good.However, the hotel needs to improve its cleanliness. The bedroom floor had an unpleasant smell. We informed the reception, and housekeeping cleaned it, but the bad smell still remained. The washroom also needs an upgrade, as it felt outdated. The bathroom floor had a bad odor, and there were white soap stains around the wash basin that had not been cleaned properly.With better housekeeping and improved bathroom maintenance, the overall guest experience would be much better.

I have not used the rooms here. Have gone to their executive bar a few times. Always liked it. Good ambience. Nice service. It’s a pretty big property. Big lawn and all.

Hotel Merlin International has some good points, especially the food. The chef is very good, and the food was tasty, well prepared, and enjoyable. The staff behavior was also polite and helpful.However, the room cleaning was not proper and needs serious improvement. The floor felt dirty and sticky, which made the stay uncomfortable. Cleanliness is very important in a hotel, and this was a disappointing part of the experience.Overall, the food and chef deserve appreciation, but the hotel should focus more on room hygiene, proper cleaning, and maintaining the floors better. With better cleanliness, the overall experience can improve a lot.

Hotel Merlin International is located in a convenient area in Thrissur and looks very impressive from the outside. Unfortunately, the interiors tell a different story. As a frequent traveller, I was very disappointed with the maintenance of this 3-star property.The rooms were full of dust and clearly not maintained properly. The bathroom was the worst ’ it had dark yellow stains on the walls that gave a very bad first impression. For a 3-star hotel, the hygiene and upkeep standards are far below expectations.I booked through Agoda at a decent price, not too high or too low. The only good part was the mini bar inside the room with snacks and drinks.Considering the poor cleanliness and maintenance, I cannot recommend this property anymore. It urgently needs renovation and better housekeeping.
