Top location with excellent hospitality. Highly recommended for families.

The security guard showed very rude behavior. The service was very bad, especially the night security.

Stayed at Hotel Pankaj Residency, Guruvayur, with my family (2 adults, a child, and a toddler) for 4 nights. I booked a Standard AC Room through MakeMyTrip and paid around ’7,500 for the stay without breakfast.The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location. It is right outside the main entrance of Guruvayur Railway Station, hardly a 2-minute walk away, so there is no need to hire an auto if you're arriving by train. Guruvayur Temple is about a 10-minute walk via the East Nada entrance, and the route is lined with plenty of shops, restaurants, and other conveniences. It is a very convenient location for both solo travellers and families.We were allotted a corner room on the 4th floor. The room was clean, neat, spacious, and comfortable with large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Amenities included two complimentary water bottles, an electric kettle with tea bags and sugar sachets, toiletries, a TV, Wi-Fi, and a king-size bed. Both the TV and Wi-Fi worked well throughout our stay, and the lift was operational at all times. The staff were polite, friendly, and helpful whenever we approached them. The bed was comfortable, although it felt slightly small for two adults, a child, and a toddler. The hotel was very quiet during our stay, probably because it was the off-season.One disappointment was that my MakeMyTrip booking included a complimentary upgrade to a Deluxe Room, but it was not honoured despite the hotel appearing almost empty and we seemed to be the only guests.There were also a few maintenance and safety concerns. The bathroom floor became quite slippery after use, and the provided floor mat was not absorbent enough, so we had to request additional mats. The hot water supply was inconsistent initially, and we had to remind the staff four or five times before the issue was finally resolved. Unfortunately, a lot of water was wasted because it took around 4 to 5 buckets of water before the hot water started flowing properly. Another concern was the large windows, which did not have safety railings. Families travelling with young children should be extra cautious, as kids may try to lean outside.Overall, this is a good budget-friendly hotel with an excellent location, clean and comfortable rooms, and useful amenities. With better attention to maintenance, honouring confirmed booking benefits, and improved window safety, it would offer an even better experience for families.
