We stayed here for two days and everything was amazing. You live in the sheesh mahal wich us just adjacent to the jahangir fort and the raja mahal. The raja ram mandir is walking distance and everything else is also very accessible.A must stay .

A small yet essential and impeccably maintained property run by MP Tourism, this hotel is all about location and atmosphere. Set right inside the historic Sheesh Mahal within the Orchha Fort complex, staying here feels like stepping back into the grandeur of the 16th’17th century Bundela era.The rooms are simple but thoughtfully equipped with all basic amenities-And clean linens, toiletries like soap and shampoo, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The in-house restaurant is reliable, and the complimentary breakfast is a welcome touch to start your day. What truly elevates the experience is the setting. As the fort quiets down after sunset, a walk just outside at night brings an eerie, almost mystical charm..spooky in the best way, as if the walls are whispering stories from centuries ago.If you’re looking to relive history rather than just visit it, this place offers a rare and memorable stay.

The Sheesh Mahal Orchha offered an incredible stay at the Maharaja suite. The room was beautiful, with majestic Orchha palace view. The food and services were great too.

8.0
Both the Maharaja and Maharani Suites and another room opposite the Maharaja Suite on the terrace are the only rooms worth staying, best to avoid all other excuses of a room. Our second visit this year, house keeping and service, both could be much much better. Food is OK. The sound and light show needs an immediate overhaul, it seems not to have been upgraded since the 1960s and while the story is capturing, the show itself is passable.
