Location & rooms - not the premium location or ultra fancy look wise but it is cosy smallService - No complaints, great tasty homely food. Cosy room with heater ac. Helper is polite and took care of everything we needed.Things to note : electricity come n go but backup is always there atleast for basic light and charging.4.5/5 - Recommeded for families and groups.

I came with family which includes kids, senior citizens and adults. This house boat include three rooms with beautiful ambience and heating system.Latif bhai, is a care taker of this house boat. He is extremely helpful and supportive made our stay awesome.Most important was his helping and caring nature. His wife made a food for us which very delicious and amazing which made our stay awesomely amazing.

The houseboat is very cozy, very Kashmiri. The food is also very delicious. The hospitality by the boat caretaker and host is awesome. Plus, u can transfer the payment for the trip through online so that u can spend the rupees for shopping. Sellers also come to the house to sell their materials at cheap price.

Overall had a very pleasant stay at New Lucky Star Houseboat. The Service given by the Care taker Mr. Lateef was really very good. The Rooms were very neat and clean. All the facilities were good. The food was also very good. I would Highly recommend this houseboat to all my friends and family.

Our family stayed at the houseboat last week for three days and it was wonderful. We also got our trip package planned by the houseboat owner Javeed Pakhtoon. This was my dads second time at the boat house as he loved the service and people the last time he visited. The house boat is towards the less crowded area in dal lake with a beautiful view of the mountains. Boat ride to the place takes hardly 5mins. The boat house is just a few kms away from old market street and lal chowk which can be explored. Food at the boat house is home cooked by the family who stay behind and its good. We specially loved the poha , kashmiri pulao, aloo dum and kheer prepared. Farooq ji who is the care taker is extremely helpful and a good man. He took care of us very well and was always ready to provide some advice and tips on travel, shops, rates that are reasonable to give for horse rides etc and what to expect in places we visit for that day. The place is well maintained and has a old world charm to it.. they have books and old photographs. There is a common living space, dining area and a front porch to sit and relax. The trip was well planned by Javeed ji and we got to explore a lot of places. Our driver Sajjad also needs a special mention here. He was very polite and friendly. He made sure we were not scammed by the unions in tourist places.He was always letting us know in advance what places are worth visiting and what rates are reasonable.He took us to some really good tea shops, less crowded view points, grass lands and gave us enough time to enjoy the places. He was kind enough to take us to good places for shopping clothes, kesar, kahwa, trinkets and souvenirs. It was a memorable experience because of the team built by Javeed ji. Trustworthy and honest people. Will visit again for sure.
