Orsino Hotel And Resort

The hotel management is very helpful and the service is excellent.

We stayed at Orsino Spa Resort in Darjeeling. The room was clean and fairly well-kept, with comfortable beds and basic facilities. Although the property has a nice ambiance, our overall experience did not match the price we paid. There were a number of disappointing issues: * The resort's website claims the rooms have air conditioning, but they do not. We had to call reception twice before fans were brought to us. * We saw some male guests walking around the hallways, lounge, and reception area wearing only towels, which made the shared spaces uncomfortable and seemed inappropriate for a resort of this level. We reported this to reception but no action was taken. * One early morning, someone loudly knocked on every door on our floor, disturbing all guests. It was an unpleasant way to start the day. * Most concerning was that reception gave our phone number to a taxi driver who dropped us off at Chauk Bazaar without our permission. The driver told us he got our number from reception when we asked how he contacted us. When we raised this with the front desk, they said they didn’t know who shared it and would investigate, but we never got any follow-up or explanation. This raises serious privacy and security concerns. * Overall, the rooms do not justify the price, especially given these problems. We hope management addresses these issues seriously, especially guest privacy, conduct in common areas, and maintaining professional standards, as these are vital for a safe and comfortable stay.

Wonderful spot

I was very disappointed with my stay. The hotel did not replenish basic items like milk powder, towels, toilet paper, and toiletries after they ran out. Even after multiple requests, the staff ignored our needs and did not respond properly. On top of that, they often cut off the phone instead of helping us. This unprofessional behavior and lack of care made our visit very unpleasant. I would not suggest this hotel to anyone looking for even minimal hospitality.
