Solo Traveller • Jul 2026The night staf is having soo much of attitude and not doing the work, no room service or nothing and not value to the money the room is having stain and the door and windows where having termites and not at all clean, bathroom fittings and mirror is not at all clean and the floor is having stain and slippery and fittings have green stain around them
We came to Chidambaram during a busy festival period on a last-minute trip. Arriving late at around 11:00 PM without any prior reservations, all places were full, so we had to stay at this hotel due to the urgent situation. The main advantage is its close proximity to the Chidambaram Temple. However, the hotel is undergoing construction and is not well kept. The walls were damaged, and even though we paid extra for an AC room, the air conditioning was not functioning. The price is too high for the quality provided, and it is far from being a clean or luxurious stay. On the plus side, the bathrooms were fairly clean. If you only need a spot to rest briefly, freshen up, and then visit the temple for the day, it can serve in an emergency. Otherwise, I strongly suggest booking somewhere else ahead of time.
