My stay at this hostel was great. The staff were professional and friendly. The location was perfect. That said, the cleanliness of the dorms could be improved. Overall, it was a comfortable stay.

2.0
My stay at Santa Maria Hostel in Kovalam was very disappointing. We stayed there yesterday, and the AC in our room was completely non-functional. Even though we paid for an AC room, we had to endure a hot and uncomfortable night. Additionally, the washroom lacked water for a long time, making it impossible to use the toilet or shower properly. These are basic amenities every guest expects, but they were unavailable. The room was poorly maintained, and the overall experience was frustrating. It seemed like the management did not prioritize guest comfort. When paying for accommodation, you at least expect working air conditioning and water supply. I would not suggest this hostel unless they significantly improve maintenance and customer service. There are many better options in Kovalam where your money will be well spent. Avoid the hassle and choose another place.
