Extremely Disappointing and Poorly Maintained HotelMy experience at Spree Hotel in Meerut has been extremely disappointing. Frankly, I fail to understand how a property in this condition continues to present itself as a proper hotel.The condition of the room was appalling. It looked as though basic maintenance had not been carried out for years. The carpets were heavily stained and had visible burn marks, wall pain was is coming off, the wooden fixtures and furniture are old, damaged, broken and visibly dilapidated. The fittings throughout the room were of extremely poor quality and badly maintained. Even the toilet commode was broken, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel charging guests for a supposedly comfortable stay.The internet connection was practically useless. In today's world, especially for business travellers, having almost negligible internet connectivity is simply not acceptable.The staff experience was equally disappointing. The level of professionalism and basic guest service was nowhere near what one would expect from a hotel. The breakfast appeared to have several items available, but when I asked for a simple cup of tea, I was casually told, "We don't have milk." Seriously? At a hotel, how can such a basic request be met with such an excuse? If breakfast service cannot provide something as basic as tea, it raises serious questions about the hotel's overall management and preparedness.What makes the experience worse is that none of these issues appear to be isolated. The overall property gives the impression of having been neglected for a very long time. From the room condition and furniture to the bathroom fittings, carpets, internet service and staff attitude, almost every aspect reflects poor maintenance and inadequate management.This was not merely a case of a hotel being slightly below expectations. The property is in a state that requires serious attention and substantial renovation. Guests should not have to tolerate broken fixtures, stained and burnt carpets, dilapidated furniture, broken bathroom fittings and virtually unusable internet after paying for a hotel stay.Overall: Extremely poor experience. I would not recommend spree Hotel, Meerut, and I certainly would not consider staying here again unless the property undergoes a complete overhaul in maintenance, facilities and staff service.
