Sterling Guruvayur

Check-in experience was the only thing that happened good with our stay. The reception guy was quite nice and informed us about temple visit timings and all. Thats about it for pros.We were quite disappointed with our room. The classic room was rather small ’?, and the AC barely worked, only blowing air even at 17 degrees, Cool Mode. We had to rely on the fan all night ’’?. To top it off, cockroaches emerged once the lights were off ’?.(yess!!)When we asked the next day for a taxi to go to railway station, the reception person (another guy not the check-in guy) informed us they charge 30% additional as tax ( no idea which tax is 30% additional) over the normal fair. We called up the first number poped up in Google when searched Taxi near by and they promptly picked us up. Breakfast was not on time, they informed 7.30 AM as breakfast ready time, but had only one or two items ready at 7.30AM (we had a train to catch).

This is my parent's third visit and everytime, they are made to feel at home by the staff and their warm hospitality. Being old, small gestures of kindness and thought matters and Sterling Guruvayur is an exquisite example of this generosity. Special mention about their breakfast buffet and their restaurant, which is again, a home away from home experience. I swear after leaving Sterling Guruvayur, we surely gain few kilos :) their preparation is light on the stomach but an explosion of taste in the mouth.We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff working in the service and kitchen sector. We are mentioning their names to express our gratitude.In the service sector - Mr Prajith, Mr Midhun, Mr Benito, Mr Anirudh and Mr IfranIn the kitchen sector - Mr Sujith, Mr Sujeesh, Mr Misriya, Mr Jose and Mr Anas.Also to the security people - Mr Hari, Mr Saimon and Mr Manikandan. Their special attention to detail is a privilege as it makes journey easy.Kerala is truly Goddess's own country.

First time visiting Sterling Guruvayur and it was a good experience. A little distance from the temple but it's okay as the restaurant, service and the rooms here made up for it so well!.The staff members Mr. Simon and Mr. Hari was a great help to us in service and getting us transport from to and from the temple unlike others we have seen in other hotels in Guruvayur.Kudos to both of them! All other staff members were very nice and friendly. Will visit again!

Room was ok. TV was initially not working but later someone from room service came and fixed on informing. Door lock was not good. Should be fixed.People were very courteous and very friendly.Location was excellent. Very close to Mammiyoor Shiva Temple and Guruvayur Temple ( walking distance ). Even close to the Elephant sanctuary as well.Autos are easily available so no issues in going even a little further if you need.

Had a 2 days stay a few weeks back. Location is strategic with Guruvayoor temple nearby. There is a class of tradition in their hotel design.The staffs of very attentive to our needs and hats off to them.Enjoyed their selection of vegetarian breakfast which was delicious.Will surely visit them again on our next trip.A note of improvement would be to improve their WiFi facilities as it was rather bad.Thank you for the memorable experience overall.
