The rooms had a terrible, unpleasant smell. I will definitely not return here. It's frustrating that they assigned a room without personally inspecting it. Extremely disappointing experience.

Located in a unique jungle setting, the rooms were fantastic and the food delightful. The safari, bird watching, and stargazing offered an unforgettable experience.

Sunil Verma from the cleaning team was very polite, diligent, and attentive during our entire stay. Our room and nearby areas were consistently clean and well-kept. He remained courteous and responsive, making sure all needs were handled carefully and efficiently. His commitment and friendly demeanor greatly contributed to our pleasant and comfortable experience. Outstanding service that we truly valued!

We recently visited Tathastu Resort in Pench National Park and found many aspects to appreciate. The resort covers a vast 13 acres and is beautifully landscaped, featuring numerous peaceful seating spots to unwind and enjoy nature. Activities on Site A standout feature of the resort is the natural lake located on the premises. Complimentary paddle boating on the lake was a wonderful and tranquil experience. We also tried fishing there, another free activity that was fantastic. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, guiding us, teaching fishing techniques, and even providing their own bait to ensure we had a great time. Dining & Ambiance The dining experience was equally enjoyable: - Restaurant Staff: The restaurant team was very warm, polite, and attentive. - Food Quality: The meals consistently tasted very good. - High Tea: The free evening high tea was a nice addition, offering excellent tea with fresh snacks. - Atmosphere: Live singing performances in the restaurant and the expansive lawn areas created a relaxing, musical, and memorable evening vibe. Accommodations (Luxury Tent) We stayed in a luxury tent that was well-furnished with a surprisingly large room size, delivering a genuine luxury glamping experience. The washroom was spacious as well, and having a bathtub inside the tent was a delightful extra. Concerns & Areas Needing Improvement Despite the pleasant core experience, several operational and maintenance issues detracted from what could have been a flawless stay. 1. Electrical Earthing Problem The most serious concern was an active electrical earthing issue in the luxury tent. Even when all light switches were off, the main chandelier lights glowed dimly due to earth current leakage, indicating a dangerous electrical fault and shock risk. Immediate professional inspection and repair are necessary. 2. Room Maintenance & Hygiene The tent's washroom lacked proper ventilation, leading to visible mold patches on walls and surfaces. Installing exhaust systems or regular treatment is needed to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. 3. Outdoor Area Upkeep The elevated seating area overlooking the lake was neglected, covered in spider webs, and not properly cleaned, making it uninviting. 4. Check-in & Arrival The arrival experience was disappointing. No staff greeted us at check-in, and the guide to our room walked far ahead without checking on us, leaving us to find our way alone. 5. Broken Glass Bottle in Restaurant We also noticed a broken glass bottle with chipped edges in the restaurant, posing a serious injury risk. The staff should address such hazards promptly. Final Thoughts The resort is a beautiful property with excellent hospitality, tasty food, and great complimentary activities. However, the critical electrical safety issue in the luxury tent, the broken glass bottle, minor maintenance lapses, and poor arrival coordination prevent it from being perfect. It deserves 4 out of 5 stars, but management must urgently fix the electrical earthing problem for guest safety.
