Thavika Onila Resort Yelagiri

Last week we stayed in O Nila resort with my service. My daughter and my wife loved this resort. Resort ambience is very beautiful and they enjoyed in swimming pool and spacious DLX room. We had a very good breakfast in the morning. Planning to come one more trip in July or August and stay in your resort.

’’’’’ (1/5)Our stay at Thavika O Nila Resort was extremely disappointing and far below expectations.We paid ’3500 for a family room (meant for 3 people), though we were only two. Despite this, the room was very basic and poorly maintained. The cupboard had no hangers, the water bottle seemed old, and the refrigerator was dirty. Basic toiletries were substandard, and surprisingly, there was no mirror in the washroom.Cleanliness was a major concern. The room was not cleaned properly, there were no towels provided, the dustbin had a stale food odour, and the washroom walls had stains that looked like blood. These are basic hygiene standards any hotel should meet.Power cuts were frequent and poorly managed. At night around 1:45 AM, we woke up sweating due to a power outage. Despite repeated calls to reception, there was no response initially, and even after they answered, no immediate action was taken. It appeared that other villas had power backup, but our building did not’something we had already suspected due to multiple outages in the evening.Service overall was very poor. There was loud music played in the evening, which even caused power issues in the building. The staff seemed unresponsive and unprepared.Breakfast was another disappointment. We were told it would be from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM, but when we arrived at 8:05, nothing was ready, and the staff claimed it started at 8:30 instead. Several guests were already waiting. The options were extremely limited’no eggs, no fruits, no juice’far below even basic hotel standards.Additionally, there is no Wi-Fi and the mobile network is very weak, making it difficult to stay connected.Overall, this place is highly misleading in terms of the amenities it claims to offer. It felt poorly maintained and not worth the price at all. Definitely not recommended. ’’’

Fantastic experience!! Good food. Nice staff specially Pavithra who did her best to make our group comfortable. Only challenge was around loud music post 10pm which was due to some birthday party there but that was disturbing as we have a small baby with us. Rest is great!!

Good food is often the "make or break" for large groups!Entertainment: The combination of a campfire and music in the evening is the perfect way to bond with 15 friends.Facilities: It’s great to hear the swimming pool and play area lived up to expectations, providing plenty of ways to stay active during those 2 days.Ambiance: A nice resort atmosphere really helps in relaxing

We had a perfect family stay at Onila Resort, Yelagiri. The property felt completely safe, and we truly enjoyed our time there. The facilities were excellent’car parking, swimming pool, children’s play area, night music, and the bonfire were all really good.The staff were friendly and very accommodating with all our requests, which made our stay even more comfortable.Only suggestion: It would be great if the resort could add some simple food options for kids at night, such as dosa or idli.Overall, a wonderful experience and highly recommended for families!
